The real news here is that Apple has driven the final nail into Microsoft's coffin.....

The corporate world is very conservative. They will still hang on to their desktop PC running Office for years to come. Don't forget that MS makes plenty of $$$ from their back end products e.g. servers, datase,....

It will keep Microsoft going for some time but a company needs to GROW and there is nothing in the Microshit lineup that caters to an expanding market. The desktop market is shrinking. More corporates will be using tablets as part and parcel of their daily routines.

From what I hear Boyd with vdi is the way to go for the future.

The funny thing is that with VDI, Microsoft is pushing surface tablet as an "alternative" that has a full bodied OS. Don't see that happening anytime soon though. The whole win8 debacle is more a force of change of behaviour that Microsoft thinks it can get away with.

Yup and the majority will be accessing via the tablets or phones.

When it was announced that Balmer was retiring the price of Microsoft share went up:biggrin: The big investors in MS pushed out Bill gates. Whoever takes over will have an easier job, and may do a "Steve Jobs" on Microsoft. So the death of MS may be premature.

If it works well I'll buy it for sure. Imagine having a device or app that can do the work for me.

iTwit does not connect to iCloud or the Internet, does not have google search or BING or Yahoo...it will connect you with the Teletext service, now run by LTK Innovations Pte Ltd, you can get your weather, stock quotes, EPL, sports, property listings, 4D TOTO results..etc.

Down load now...iTwit from http://www.wp.org.sg/ ha ha ha

Wait are you implying gates is coming back?

I mean they will go through several CEOs with similar outlooks to a Balmer or Gates.
I doubt that someone with the old styled ideas of a Gates/Balmer will succeed.

The IT scene has has changed since MS was started by Bill Gates. Other than Apple, there is now Google,Samsung, Amazon, ....

The problem with buying a device with a plan is that nowadays many people are already under a contract.
