Ghee is clarified butter. It is a dairy by-product, nothing like lard.

thanks. i know ghee is sanskrit for "sprinkle" and it's recooked butter by removing germs and residue so it can last longer on the shelf, which becums cheap for storage and reusable in a hot and humid climate. but "ghee" in eskimo territory is also used to refer to whale blubber. :p

I cycle 350 km per week. I'm 60kg and you can count my ribs. I can't possibly do anymore exercise. I'd die of exhaustion.:p Food in NZ isn't salty either.. no MSG and very little sodium as there is no unhealthy hawker stuff here. Hardly eat red meat... mainly fish.

Probably need to join the tonychat vegan club. There I've said it myself before he butts in.

Based on I read, blood pressure varies throughout the day.
Perhaps, you may consider measuring it after you shave, before lunch, before dinner and before going to bed.
The average of those 4 readings should be your "normal" and hopefully around 120/80.
Otherwise, consider, adding a few cloves of raw garlic (not the white skin garlic from China, which is not as potent as purple skin garlic) to your lunch and dinner.
Consider sex twice a week with your partner/wife.

Went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago and my blood pressure was 150/100. Doc told me that I had to get it down or he'd have to prescribe medication.

Monitored by blood pressure at home for the last 10 days. It has never gone above 120/75. The Omron bp monitor I'm using has been calibrated and is accurate.

What should I do? Any doctors in the house?
try drinking frequently - at least once or twice a week - fresh wheatgrass juice. my li'l brother LTS is very good at growing and juicing for me

i had to agree that blood pressure do varies on the activities that you do or participate in for e.g like me,

1.when i am in the casino playing baccarat down to my last dollar i bet on the banker and when the player starts to squeeze his card
and you can actually go to the toilet pee come back and he is still squeezing the cards and then smile to himself, you know you are in trouble
cause he had a natural nine, this one will guarantee my blood pressure will shoot through the roof.

2.at the races on friday or sunday inside the final 200m,you can roughly tell that the horses you bet on will win or eat grass,
if it win your blood pressure is normal,if it eat grass your blood pressure will just keep going up till the bank open on monday.

on tuesday to thursday my blood pressure is usually normal especially during sex with my wife,it is only on weekend that it shows abnormal readings.

Don't sweat the small stuff, and let kopiuncle do that for you. Or get tonychat off from sitting on your tail.

Stop telling people to use:

Advise iso advice
lose iso loose
worse iso worst.

And those readings will come down.

I've taken my BP at home in the morning, in the evening, at lunch time... always below 120/75 as long as I sit down for 10 minutes and watch TV.

If I've been rushing around, it does go higher about 140/90 but it it always comes down to 120/75 or lower after a relaxing for a while.

As far as I can see, BP is never a fixed value. It responds to the needs of the body just like pulse rate and breathing intensity. The question that nobody seems to be answer is how high can it go under stressful conditions before it is considered to be dangerous.

Could be because you punt to win.
Go for placings and the bp might improve.

Those things are the main reason keeping the reading down.
The day he went to the doc he didn't login. :o

Hahaha! When your opposite taker is squeezing the cards real hard, you know you are in some sort of trouble.

Merry Christmas.

I am not too sure about tomorrow.

Maybe should ask your doctor to check for thyroid activity.

My brother got the same problem. Finally, the doctors nailed to an active thyroid. The systolic blood pressure is always high about 150 to 160 but his diastolic is low 60 to 70 ! But his pulse is always high about 110/min. Big pulse difference. After taking the thyroid medications, he is now back to normal.

There are many of us going around with an active thyroid or some with a very inactive thyroid. Check it out.
