Man finds mysterious gold tablet

Yishun resident Mr Hu picked up this gold tablet from an unearthed tomb under a HDB block.

A man has unearthed what seems to be a gold tablet in an old grave in Yishun.

The old grave was unearthed in front of Blk 711, Yishun Ave 5 during lift construction works. The excavator had unwittingly hit a buried tombstone, to the shock of residents and workers.

Most residents began avoiding the construction area after the tomb was unearthed.

Four days later, Mr Hu (47, kitchen assistant), a resident in the area, was passing the area when he spotted the glint of gold in the soil after some rains. He discovered a gold tablet and some copper coins in the soil.

It is believed that these items were buried together with the dead.

Hu brought the tablet to show his friends and one of them offered to buy it from him. Hu refused the offer as he is uncertain whether this is some kind of antique or perhaps even a priceless artifact.

He says he hopes to leave the gold tablet for his descendants.

The words on the tablet say, “Bestowed by the Emperor for retirement”.

even without touching it i know its not gold. at most its painted or plated (very unlikely as i do not think plating technology that time (if its available) was that advance to plate this kind of complex uneven surfaces).

see the greenish edge? those are signs of aging bronze due to the presence of copper.

In connection with the recent series of ghostly corpses found in water tank rivers reservoirs, jungle, park, etc, nearly 10 cases, this is an omen.

LKY is dying.

Supreme heaven say LKY has to retire and refusing so he would die.
