Old Man is a LCB after all, still cannot let a dead adversary rest in peace.
This old man is definitely less forgiving and charitable than his first son.He said himself, he himself won't rest in peace too even when he's dead.
If he sees something wrong, he'll rise up from his grave.
God look very worried to have a second begotten son.
If Singaporeans want to thank anyone it has to be Tengku. He did what no other politcian did before or since - he gave away a state that he had legitimate reason to hold on to. He could have stopped working with the PAP, he could have arrested the old man for sedition, he could have arrested the old man for inciting riots but he chose a peaceful way.
Imagine you are the PM of a country but the chief minister of a small state making state visits all over the world as though he was ranked number one in protcol. Imagine in front of your King, a Chinese telling the parliament that their Malay leaders are not suitable to run the country.
This is the same old man that cannot tolerate dissent or alternative views. This is same man that sued people to bankruptcy. This same man that put away 112 people at the eve of a crucial elections. This is the same man that held a man without trial for 23 years. This is the same man that till today has no respect for others. This is the same man that commandeered an entire jumbo to bring his wife back despite a number of well establised medical evacuation air services with special fitted equipment and facilities available. This is the same man whose family and him claimed that they were not aware of discounts given. This is the same man whose brother arranged for discounts from a public listed company whose own shareholders were not given privileges and which fell afoul of the Companies Act.
Syed Albar was so shocked that he resigned immediately. Razak at that moment in time decided that he will not allow any non-malay did control the destiny of the country. The damage this man did the non-bumi of Malaysia cannot be measured.
This same man when the question is raised, will throw it on Toh's head.
This is the same man whose son at the recent national day rally praised the Malaysian architect for the PInnacle as a foreign talent but failed to disclose that he grew up in Singapore and refused to give up his Malaysian citizenship despite being in this country for 3 decades.
I continued to be dismayed by many Singaporeans who have no idea about their history.

LKY's popularity in SG back then was unquestionable and add onto the already tense political situation, its likely there will be mass protests/riots if they go down that road. Not to mention UMNO was not popular in SG back then either. They didnt even win a single seat during the elections in SG
While I agree with all the points here, I will like to add on that the Malay leaders' distrust of the Chinese is not just Old Man alone, but also the Malayan Emergency that is still fresh on their mind, having only ended in 1960.
After all, the main leaders of the communist insurgents are mostly Chinese after all (Chin Peng and The Plen) with only a handful of junior-ranked Malays and Indians. The ultra-Malays grabbed this as a chance to stir up hatred against the Chinese.
Of course, they conveniently failed to mention that a prominent Chinese, Tan Cheng Lok, of the MCA, fought hard against the communists (who were his own kind) and was injured by a grenade blast.
So I guess it is a mix of Old Man's insatiable greed + communist insurgency that made UMNO more hardline in protecting Malay rights.

You referring to this?
Hong Xiuquan claimed that the illness he had following his imperial examinations was in fact a vision to the effect that he was the younger brother of Jesus, who was sent to rid China of the corrupt Manchu Qing Dynasty rulers. After this alleged vision, he felt it was his duty to spread Christianity (in the form that he developed it) and overthrow the foreign rule of the Qing. Hong's associate Yang Xiuqing was a former firewood merchant of Guangxi, who claimed to be able to act as a voice of God, in order to direct the people and gain political power.
( Taiping Rebellion 1850-1864)
So that maketh LKY the 3rd brother....:p
That's what LKY wanted you to first learn, then know, and then finally repeat after him. He has succeeded beyond imagination. Your brain has absorbed PAP's propaganda for so long i think you have to throw it away. If you hang on to it, you will not be able to appreciate post-LKY life in Singapore and celebrate with the others in Singapore. It's yr brain that has gone chew cheng.
To be fair, Malaysia were really out to suffocate us back then. As much as I dislike Old Man, I think he had ill-will towards the Malaysians because he knew their dirty tricks.
