All the mosques and radio stations in Malaysia as well as those in other Muslim countries have been calling upon Allah for a miracle. Ditto for churches, Hindu and Buddhist temples. But so far neither Allah, Jesus, Krisna nor Amitabha have responded. So what is the logical conclusion?

- there is a video not released and not just stills
- they IDed that it is part of a plane ( but not that it's from MH370) but do want to reveal resolution capability or coverage capacity. They have searched missing plane archives but no commercial aircraft of that size has been missing in that vicinity.
- the private jet of one of the richest OZ family is being used as it's has fuel range that beats any other defence aircraft of OZ, Kiwi etc and it can stay longer on location.
- waypoints are useless if they float
- 3 teams in search grid one at waypoint of sat capture) in case the big pieces sink near the vicinity, one along NTSB flight path minus 4 day (sat capture) minus 8 days (time of crash due to fuel gone) with currents factored in and last is in area where the pieces likely to be after 4 days of current.

Nearly all the players have been involved from day 2.

Despite comments about possible shipping debris such as lost containers, the biggest container is 40 ft. These pieces are bigger.

Search responsibility role and protocol is governed by ICAO, a UN body. Requires formal procedure to hand over or share responsibility. Nearly all the countries have been helping from day 1 in an unofficial capacity. No country wants to be officially involved as they then must hold press conference and answer questions - fucked up task. Chinese said no from the word go. The Malaysian fucked up the first 8 hrs after discovery but have been doing their part since.

This whole saga smacks of double standards by the West as suggested by some in this thread. The Western press speculate or conjure rubbish and then expect the Malaysians to confirm or deny. The Malaysians or any other country in a similar situation will not know as these are unprecedented.

No country is going to reveal their radar or defence capability. It is to protect their national interest , country or their people.

Bear in mind that a man living in a cave brought down the WTC, hit the pentagon and only missed the White House because civilians in the 4th jet fought back. All 4 jets veered from its flight path shortly after, did not follow no commercial lanes and no one noticed. After WTC came down, the jets that were eventually scrambled flew out to sea as they were told that it was an external threat.

The Chinese have been belligerent towards their neighbours over Islands in the South China Sea. They have been bullying the Vietnamese, the Philippines, Malaysia, etc over the islands. Nobody is going to show them any defence capabilities let alone their radar capability.

actually the saga is more complex than everyone thinks with alot of pseudo experts giving all sort of theories about where the plane is which all is nothing but crap. The ah tiongs and their useless satellites and even the Thais, india, phillipines, malysia air force and I'm sure even singapore was caught off guard whenMH370 slip into their airspace without any alarm . to save their own face from embarrassment they keep quiet and refused to share data when there wasn't any!!!!
I trust the aussies on this one as usually they are correct. I remember more than 15 years ago I met a top official in Canberra and asked him how come tehy can spot all the "small tiny fishing boats carrying refugees/asylum seekers" in the vast wide ocean in indian ocean, Indon waters, papua new guinea and intercept these tiny vessels from afghanistan, bangladesh etc thousands of kilometrers from the shore and with 100% accuracy. he told me a secret that the whole of the northern coastline is covered with a sort of special radar of their own invention that can see over the horizon. these are not satellite radar or the usual type. he gave a short lecture on how their radar works and this was different from other radar type in military lingo. he specifically say they can "see" as far as Hongkong and know what type of sea vessel is in the sea from container ship to even small fsihing vessels as far as HK!!!!! I thought he was bull shitting until another guy from anither dept told he waht he stated was an undertsatement and they can even tell whether the ships or vessels to their nearest 1 meter in length. Now I believe them and tahts why they are so good at intercepting these 'asylum seekers" fishing boats.
so they probably tracked MH370 and know where to search using satellite and their technology, a feat the other countries above can only talk crap about but cannot substantiate, even China.
I guess they kept quiet to protect their defence radar technology until malaysia made a request. afterall empty vessels like China and all these pseudo experts make the loudest noise and are embarassingly quiet now.

The US has said it is considering a request from Malaysia for underwater equipment to search for missing flight MH370. Efforts led by Australia to locate traces of the plane have so far yielded no concrete results.

Pentagon press secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby said on Friday that, in a phone call with Malaysia's defense minister and acting transport minister, US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel had promised to asses a request made by Malaysia.

In the phone call, Hagel's Malaysian opposite number Hishammuddin Hussein had "requested that the US consider providing some undersea surveillance equipment," Kirby said.

The US military says it has spent $2.5 million (1.81 million euros) operating ships and aircraft to search for the missing Boeing 777, which disappeared on its way to Beijing after taking off from Kuala Lumpur on March 8.

Two US maritime surveillance planes, a P-3 Orion and a P-8 Poseidon, have been involved in efforts to trace the aircraft, which was carrying 239 people.

While officials did not reveal the exact nature of equipment Washington might deploy, the Pentagon is understood to have invested heavily in robotic technology designed to repel torpedoes and other attacks by enemy submarines.

Malaysian authorities have been under mounting pressure over their handling of the search efforts for the plane. Officials have several times been accused of giving out conflicting information about the flight's last detected location and the passengers on board.

Australian officials have promised to continue a search for two large objects that were spotted by satellite earlier in the week, after search places dispatched to the location failed to turn up results.

However, the international team leading the hunt in the southern Indian Ocean had so far found no clues, Australia's deputy prime minister Warren Truss said on Friday.

The Malaysians have been good to these families and relatives. One end of the mouth threatening hunger strike and the other end claiming that 5k not enough to feed themselves. Should send them back and tell them to wait at home for any development.

The Malaysians should also reveal who took up the offer to fly to KL, their relationship to the victim, how much extra was given over the 5k etc. These are the arseholes clamouring for transparency let's see how transparent they can be.

That civilian private Gulfstream that took off from Jandakot is a chartered plane. Not in the official search list.

US and Australia are spying on the whole region. Of course they'll help to search. That was to mitigate the snowden embarrassment. Is it comforting to know their spying tech is very advanced? This question is more logical than your first. Any right thinking person will answer "yes" if the request is reasonable and the required response is within the power of the person.

What is reasonable? Many people would think that not having to die and to live forever is reasonable. Some people would think making the girls they fancy marry them is reasonable. Some people would think killing someone because they think he has been nasty to them is reasonable.
