When you're videos get popular enough, you can apply for a "partnership" with a company like TGN or Machinma (Or of course, youtube.)
The partnership companies then pay you to put ads on your video, and the price of this varies; for example : A video with 10,000 views & 1Like wouldn't get as much as 10,000 views & 1000 Likes.

The average is about 5$/1000 AD Views

Also you wouldn't get "A ton" of money, probably about average pay.

Minimum payment (With Machinima anyway) is 5$/month
