Thanks Mr Porn. For your info if you don't already know, all the statistics that I mentioned are facts which can be found liberally in govt website, car dealers, newspapers etc if u indeed have vested interest in JB. Its nothing special and I don't pluck the figures from Jupiter

2) S$50,000 Sonata ( Malaysia ) Car Price
3) S$150,000 Sonata ( Singapore ) Car Price

Of cos there is a mix of good and bad while staying and living in JB. But I am sure as a "retiree" who has chosen to buy an apartment in Malaysia, the benefits of staying in JB must have been attractive.

Well PuteriWorld, I am not here to troll on you. As a matter of fact, I am a retiree and I have an apartment in Malaysia by the seaside which I occasionally enjoy with my loved ones. There is a mix of good things and not so good things living in Singapore and living in JB or any parts of Malaysia. Nothing is perfect. Personally, I don't see the need to explain or justify the pros of each country as I believe to the notion of "to each his own". As long as facts are not taken out of context or twisted, I believe in sharing genuine and helpful information, sweet and simple.

I never said I stay in JB. Do you actually read what is posted or you just assumed what is written? I thought both sides handled it quite well. For a change you don't see the likes of cslong or Relaxman and his minions starting a shouting match and dragging the local developers name through the m&d. But truth be told I suspect JP initially misunderstood what PW said about the car price comparison. Then again, I am old man like JP and we have our idiosyncrasies.

We all know there is an over-supply coming up since 3-5 years ago and that is why most of the investors do selective investment rather than going for those pay RM 888 to own a unit type... so I donno why the SG govt choose to come out to warn their own citizens not to buy into Iskandar units which coincides with election

It's all politics. As you know relaxman's idol has been selling a lot of land to china developers. U just see the land reclamation on both sides of permas bridge. Who is the loser in all these development? It's the federal govt. now every business man bypass the state n govt n straightaway talk to the big guy for concession. IMO it's all wayang in the game of thrones.

Just recently, it was reported in the Chinese Papers that from next month, the Sultanah Aminah Hospital will be barriered and charge for parking, putting an end to free parking within the hospital's compound.
So no more free parking even for staff whereby season ticket will be charged at RM30 pm and I'm very sure this will not down very well with the people working there especially the junior staff.
Saw this coming when the State govt announced that they will be absorbing the GST for all charges by them.
Money has to come from somewhere so expect more areas in JB to be earmarked for parking charges in the coming months.

The problem is all senior govt staff are always allocated with free parking lots, its those junior staff driving the little Perodua Kancil and the poor patients that will be affected.
