People might have called LKY a tyrant or a dictator but facts are facts as recorded in history. Give him credit where credit is due. If he had not done what he had done for sinkie land, would there be a modern sinapo today?
There are two facets to the life of LKY; in the 1950s when he was idolised by the locals but later in his life, he was more idolised by foriengers than by locals.

LKY was a lot better than leaders in other countries who emerged after WW2, leaders like Marcos Chairman Mao the Kim in kimchi land, Soekarno, etc. This part of history cannot be swept under the carpet about LKY and what he had done for sinkie land, and like it or not, his contribution to the country is immense.
