Seven Things

I have seen much in my 15 years in ministry and in life before
formal ministry. I can tell you these seven things:

1. Money can make you comfortable,
but it will not comfort you for long.

2. Health is your greatest material asset,
if you are healthy, you are rich.

3. You must be content within yourself first,
your completeness will not come from another person.

4. Less than 20% of people are happy in marriage.

5. Less than 20% of people are happy single.

6. Single or marriage does NOT make the difference
in whether you are happy or not.

7. There is one relationship that takes precedence and matters
more than any other.

It's your relationship with God.

Are You There - God?
=====================

There once was an older, destitute man. He had lost his family,
his dignity, his work, and all his worldly possessions. The
only thing he had left was his faith in God.

One day, he walked along the city sidewalks; homeless as he
was. Peering around the city buildings, the passing cars, and
sidewalk shoppers - he remembered a time when had the love of
his wife, the comfort of home, and the camaraderie of his many
friends and successful business partners. Just for one moment,
he could feel the love and passion he once used to enjoy. But
then he looked up into the sky, and he could see the graying
clouds rolling overhead; and the wind began to fly past his
ragged shirt sleeves.

Realizing that he was who he was, he knew he had to find
shelter before the rains began to fall. Across the street, he
saw the old city park that he used to visit when he was just a
child. In the far end of the park, he spotted the old gazebo
he'd frequented with his high school sweetheart. Suddenly, the
rain began to fall. These weren't just ordinary raindrops -
they were hard, heavy, and oversized droplets of water that
pelted his head and neck like small stones. His walk turned
into a fast run as he struggled to get under the shelter of the
gazebo. Shaking off his shirt and wiping the wetness from his
cheeks and forehead, the man sat back on the two-seater swing
beneath the gazebo. Then he shook his head in disbelief. "Is
this what life is all about?" he asked, shaking his fist and
peering up toward the grey skies, "What more do you want from
me?"

Just then, the sky began to clear and above the skyscrapers, he
could faintly see some bright hues of red, purple, pink, and
even blue. It was a rainbow; and the sun's rays began to shine
through the break in the clouds. Now sobbing, the man looked
back up into the sky, and he asked, "Are You there, God?" But
there was no audible reply.

A few moments passed when a park ranger made his way up to the
old gazebo, "Top of the day to you, sir," he said to the man.
The man glanced at the ranger as the voice sounded vaguely
familiar. Sure enough, the man remembered the park ranger as a
friend he once knew many, many years in his past.

"I think I know you," the man replied to the ranger, "aren't
you Ed from the country store?"

The ranger was slightly taken aback as he too, recognized the
man. But the ranger's name was not Ed; that was his father's
name. "My name is Paul," said the ranger, stretching out his
hand to the man on the swing, "Ed was my father."

"Oh," replied the man, "I'm Mark Baker," he paused to shake
Paul's hand.

The similarities were uncanny, but Mark certainly remembered
Ed, and this ranger was the spitting image of him.

"How'd you know my dad?" asked Paul.

"Oh, it was so long ago...you wouldn't want to hear how we met,"
replied Mark.

Taking a couple steps beneath the shelter, Paul said, "Humor
me."

Mark explained that he and Ed had met each other in the local
hospital. Mark had gone there to pick up his lab tests where he
and Ed had struck up a conversation while they sat in the
waiting room. By the time all was said and done, he discovered
that he was the perfect match for Ed - the perfect kidney
match. "Needless to say," said Mark, "one thing led to another
and we were kidney partners for life."

"What happened to you?" asked Paul.

"Wall Street called me, greed took me, and I played my last bit
of luck," he replied. Sighing aloud, Mark blinked to clear the
water from his eyes, "and then I lost it all."

"I remember you," said Paul, then he pulled out a photograph
from his wallet, and pointed to two men standing side-by-side
by the old country store, "that's you, and that's my dad."

Peering at the old black and white photograph, he could faintly
make out the faces of the worn picture, "Sure does look like
me, doesn't it?" asked Mark.

Paul began smiling and he replied, "It is you," then he took a
deep breath, "do you know for how long I have been looking for
you?"

Mark simply shook his head, "well, you found me...I wish under
better circumstances."

Just then, Paul placed his hand upon Mark's shoulder, "I wish
my dad would've been able to see you again. He talked about you
all the time...and especially right before he died," Paul sighed,
"because of you, he was able to watch me graduate and get my
high school diploma, and later, he got to hold his newborn
grandson - my son."

"Wow," Mark replied, "I didn't realize that one kidney could do
all that."

"You don't understand, Mark," said Paul, "when he died, he left
you the old country store and the house. It's been waiting for
your return but you never came...until now."

And suddenly, Mark had received his answer...and his solution to
his homelessness. It had been there the whole time but it took
him losing everything before he would rediscover the rainbow of
hope once again.

Even in your darkest hour, when you ask - God shows up in the
most unlikely places.

1) If money is not important why churches need so much money  they brainwashed you money is not important because want to make you give them the " useless " money

2) if health is important why christian built churches instead of hospital

3) if You must be content within yourself first why church keep wanting more money and more money  and why must they keep praying and praying

4) if Less than 20% of people are happy in marriage why Christian marriage are held in church ?

5) if Less than 20% of people are happy single why marry time must thanks god ?

6) if Single or marriage does NOT make the difference
in whether you are happy or not . Why thanks god when they get married ?

7) There is one relationship that takes precedence and matters
more than any other it's god ? Again ... After I debunked those silly comments above its time for self praising session again !!! really a delusional cult to brainwashed the mass

Except millions of Christians suffer every day. There are many people who are starving and living in poverty, who have nothing but the hope that god might come and ease their pain. And they die lonely and miserable wondering why god never answered their prayers. Lol ....do you think spamming your religious preaches are cute? You don't even know how many lies are embedded into your fabricated little myth. I'm just curious...do you religious folk who keep coming here and spamming lies ...actually think your posting are going to convert anyone here?

Ps : Sorry bro beensetfree it just my rants ..I just being straight forward .

Ten Seconds

You are right; it is the little things.

I was getting a special x-ray last week and the clerk put on my
ID bracelet. She must have noticed I was nervous. Because as
she put on my bracelet, she touched me with both hands...and
rubbed my arm.

She said something. But, I don't remember what she said!
I do remember, the touch............it has stayed with me for
weeks now.

It is amazing how such a simple thing can be remembered for so
long. Think back on an act of kindness that you remember from
long ago.

It was a dark morning in downtown Atlanta.

My father was a businessman, he had a store downtown, a wig and
cosmetics store. He would take his sons downtown before school
around 5:30 am and we would pass out flyers to women hurrying to
work.

I stood on a particular corner. I learned a lot about crowd
psychology from those early cold downtown mornings. If there
was a crowd of people coming across the crosswalk as the light
changed, it was vital that you got the first person in the crowd
to take one of your flyers.

If the first person took one, the rest would likely take one.
If the first person refused, the rest would likely refuse.

One morning a particularly rude lady brushed me aside with a
rather mean look. That wasn't unusual and it is not her that I
remember. The rest of the crowd following her across the street
also refused my proffered circulars.

It was just a circular, and you get used to rejection when
passing out circulars in the pre-dawn hours of a major city.

I don't remember the rude lady in front of the crowd.

I remember the last lady.

She was an older lady, perhaps mid-sixties to early seventies.
Her race was different from mine.
Her hair was white with age and her frame frail from the years.
She wore a black dress.

Did those things matter?

No, I just remember them.

She didn't need a wig and looked as if she never had or would
wear one. That I could plainly see.

Knowing the demeanor of the rest of the crowd, I made no real
attempt to give her a circular, after all, she was the one
person in the crowd that couldn't use what I was selling.

She stopped and extended her aged hand for one of my circulars.

I gladly gave her one and with that transfer, it lifted the
rejection of countless others before her.

She spoke three words . . .

"Jesus loves you"

and walked away.

That was 30 years ago.

It was an Itty-Bitty Thing that made a big difference.

Think on this:
What Itty-Bitty Thing made a big difference in your life?

Think also on this:
What Itty-Bitty Thing can you do to make a big difference in
someone else's life?

Neither of the two examples above cost anything or took more
than ten seconds.

Got ten seconds?

Rain

"Rain: A little drizzle isn't bad - it's nourishment. All of
God's life needs a little rain to survive; it's what makes us
grow to become beautiful and strong. Sometimes the rain turns
into a storm, making us feel muddy and flooded as if everything
good has been washed away. It's then that we need to look for
the rainbow which He promised would be there. If we look for it,
we will find it, but first we must open our eyes so that we can
see it.

Touch Me...

Touch Me . . .

If I am your child... Please touch me.
Persist; find ways to meet my needs.
Your goodnight hug helps sweeten my dreams.
Your daytime touching tells me how you really feel.

If I am your teenager... Please touch me.
Don't think because I'm almost grown,
I don't need to know that you still care.
I need your loving arms; I need a tender voice.

If I am your friend... Please touch me.
Nothing lets me know you care like a warm embrace.
A healing touch when I'm depressed assures me I am loved,
And reassures me that I'm not alone.
Yours may be the only comforting touch I get.

If I am your life's partner... Please touch me.
You may think that your passion is enough,
But only your arms hold back my fears.
I need your tender reassuring touch, To remind me
I am loved just because I am me.

If I am your grown-up child... Please touch me.
Though I may have a family my own to hold,
I still need Mommy's and Daddy's arms when I hurt.
As a parent the view is different; I appreciate you more.

If I am your aging parent... Please touch me.
Hold my hand, sit close to me, give me strength;
And warm my tired body with your nearness.
Although my skin is worn and wrinkled, It loves to be stroked

Don't be afraid.

Please Touch Me!

Help Me at Momma's House
=========================

We had always "butted heads," but I was hoping that this visit
would be different.

I had flown to visit Momma. She wasn't well, and I was doing
my best not to argue. It seemed that every time I was around her,
it was like I was nine years old again - and I am going on 60!

I had spent many hours on flights and in ground transportation
to get there, and she had just spent an hour telling me how
wonderful my step-sister and her kids were. As usual, in her
presence I felt inferior.

I spent some time on my cell phone with my dear Husband, who
usually gets me grounded again. It helped, but not enough.

I really wanted to get on a plane and run home (and I had
three more days to go in my planned visit). I stopped in my
stroll (I had to leave her house to call hubby) and I prayed.

"Lord, please help me. I just can't seem to cope with Momma
and I want to go home."

Even though I knew that He knew my heart, I poured it all out
to Him. I was almost back to Momma's house when the "still,
small voice" spoke, gently, to my heart.

"Let it go, daughter. Let Me have it. Time is short. Trust in
Me."

I knew that my Redeemer had spoken to me and I cried. I stopped
walking and thanked Him. I got myself together and returned to
my Momma's house.

Was the rest of the visit easy? No! But, each time that she
started to get to me, I took a quiet breath and breathed in my
Lord's peace.

I am grateful today for that time, as Momma is not well. She
still knows how to push my buttons, but I don't let her know
that it upsets me.

I turn it over to Christ and I have peace.

Now, I just continue to pray for Momma so that before she leaves
this earth, she will know Jesus as I do.
Praise You Lord!

Gladiator Fights

And Abner the son of Ner, and the servants of Ish-bosheth the son of Saul, went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon. And Joab the son of Zeruiah, and the servants of David, went out, and met them by the pool of Gibeon; and they sat down, the one on the one side of the pool, and the other on the other side of the pool. And Abner said to Joab, Let the young men, I pray thee, arise and play before us. And Joab said, Let them arise. Then they arose and went over by number: twelve for Benjamin, and for Ish-bosheth the son of Saul, and twelve of the servants of David. And they caught every one his fellow by the head, and `thrust' his sword in his fellow's side; so they fell down together: wherefore that place was called Helkath-hazzurim, which is in Gibeon. Cold Turkey
============

It was the day before Thanksgiving, Bobby Evans collapsed in a
Wal-Mart in Worcester Massachusetts. Other customers gathered
around and the first-aider was summoned.

It did not look good for Bobby, there was blood coming out of
his ear, his face looked white and he was unconscious.

The store manager dialed 911 and when the medical team arrived
the first thing they did was take off Bobby's hat, to
everyone's amazement inside was a partially frozen turkey.

What felled Bobby was the chill from turkey numbing his brain.
The blood came from the giblets which had melted and leaked
over his hair and down into his ear.

As it was Thanksgiving the manager took pity, and rather than
prosecuting the shop-lifter, gave him the partly thawed bird
and sent Bobby on his way. Two days later the manager got
letter from Bobby apologizing for his behavior and thanking the
manager for his action. Also inside the envelope was $15, the
price of his turkey.

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off of your thighs!

Off The Wall
=============

I'm on the mailing list of Poppa G's, a local restaurant in
Atlanta. This was the letter I received recently.

A customer walked in to Poppa G's with a brace on their hand.
I said "what happened to you" REPLY "well Twanda, I got mad at
work and instead of hitting this guy I decided to hit the wall
at work". "I broke my hand".

Let's look at this REAL LIFE SITUATION!

This person got mad and hit a wall at their job.

This person did not lose their job, but has to go to anger
management classes without pay.

This person has to pay to have the wall restored.

This person's hand will NEVER be the same and will have to
endure pain for the rest of their life.

This person's manager thinks they are CRAZY!

The person they got mad with, is walking around laughing.

Do you think a promotion is around the corner for this person?

Life is what we make of it! If you are given lemons, make
lemonade. STOP COMPLAINING! EVERYBODY HAS ISSUES!! Everybody!

You are in control of your life. Don't let your circumstances
control you.

More Rape and Baby Killing

Anyone who is captured will be run through with a sword. Their little children will be dashed to death right before their eyes. Their homes will be sacked and their wives raped by the attacking hordes. For I will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and no amount of silver or gold will buy them off. The attacking armies will shoot down the young people with arrows. They will have no mercy on helpless babies and will show no compassion for the children. (Isaiah 13:15-18 NLT)

Wtf, the Bible is fucking holy
