Death to Sabbath Breakers

On six days work may be done, but the seventh day shall be sacred to you as the Sabbath of complete rest to the Lord. Anyone who does work on that day, shall be put to death. You shall not even light a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day. (Exodus 35:2-3 NAB)
The so called God is just another creation by human imagination

Chair Dancing

Three years ago I had to start using a wheel chair part-time,
but with help I could still hobble up the stairs to sit in the
choir while everyone else stood to sing.

I'm short so I might not have been seen very well, but I wasn't
there to be seen. I was praising the Lord with everything that
was within me and my spirit was soaring on Eagles' Wings.

About nine months ago the doctor said, "No more standing!
Your knees are bleeding internally, and we can only give the
shots to stop them from bleeding every six months. Unless they
put a ramp up, you will have to quit singing in the choir."

I have had a heart condition since birth that the doctors say
makes surgery too risky, and even though I keep telling the
doctors that I have a Great Physician, they aren't willing to
take the risk to operate.

I mentioned to the Elders of the Church that without a ramp I
could no longer sing in the choir. Then I went home and prayed
about it. The Lord gave me a peace about not singing in the
choir.

He gave me a special calling in my heart to encourage others
with disabilities via the Internet.

There are so many people with disabilities who need prayer or a
personal encouraging word. They may need a special issue of
"MountainWings" that day or more particularly, the beautiful
words of the Holy Bible, the blessed comforter.

Now I am much too busy for choir practice! However, the Lord
keeps me singing in my heart. My prayer list is much too long,
and answering letters of those dear friends I have come to love
through the Internet who are in need of words of encouragement
keeps me much too busy for choir practice.

I'm busy reminding those whom I love that the Lord is the source
from which our true strength comes and brings them closer to the
Lord.

I still sing with everything that is in me, I can dance in my
wheel chair just as my feet danced before, and my spirit still
soars! Singing and dancing can just bubble up from the joy of
the Lord in our hearts when we have given Him everything that is
without and within us!

Kill Women Who Are Not Virgins On Their Wedding Night

But if this charge is true (that she wasn't a virgin on her wedding night), and evidence of the girls virginity is not found, they shall bring the girl to the entrance of her fathers house and there her townsman shall stone her to death, because she committed a crime against Israel by her unchasteness in her father's house. Thus shall you purge the evil from your midst. (Deuteronomy 22:20-21 NAB)

The Gospel writer has a special fantasy for virgin and many many virgins

Not Always Wrong

My ex-husband unfortunately operated under the influence of
spirits of control and intimidation. As a young wife, I had no
clue and he truly had me convinced that I was a terrible wife
and mother and that anything and everything was my fault.

One day I was watching public television and they were showing
a lecture by Leo Buscaligia, who taught on love and
relationships. In one sentence he served as God's hand to
deliver me from the enemy's control over my mind and how I saw
myself. It was like stepping from a room of total darkness into
brilliant light.

Leo said, "And never let ANYONE tell you that you are always
wrong - even a stopped clock is right twice a day!"

I came to realize that there are eternal God-truths and there
are things that are just one person's personal opinion. We must
be ready and willing to listen to God and let Him reveal our
genuine faults and work with Him to improve those areas, but we
must never allow another human being, whose thinking is mostly
emotionally directed, to crush us with negative words.

God's thoughts and truths make us who we are, not a person's
negative opinion. Please be set free from captivity to a
person's negative opinion and let God bring you out into the
light!

Foreskins for a Dowry

And Saul said, Thus shall ye say to David, The king desireth not any dowry, but a hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be avenged of the king's enemies. Now Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines. And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king's son-in-law. And the days were not expired; and David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full number to the king, that he might be the king's son-in-law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife. (1 Samuel 18:25-27 ASV)

Insane

"As my therapist says,

'You cannot sanely deal with insane people.'"

It is true; you cannot sanely deal with the insane.

To deal with insane people and the insane things of this world,
you need a peace that passes all understanding.

God Kills all the First Born of Egypt

And at midnight the LORD killed all the firstborn sons in the land of Egypt, from firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn son of the capti the dungeon. Even the firstborn of their livestock were killed. Pharaoh and his officials and all the people of Egypt woke up during the night, and loud wailing w heard throughout the land of Egypt. There was not a single house where someo had not died. (Exodus 12:29-30 NLT)

Isn't this insane? I let the raw and unaltered Scriptures do the talking

Who You Are

I find myself on the downhill slide of yet another trial in my
life where confusion seemed to be the only thing I was sure of.

Who, what, why, when, how, and how long were the questions I
didn't have answers for.

Last night, I sat quietly and instead of asking,
I just listened.

God whispered to me.

Who I am is a child of His.

What I am is a wife and mother.

Why is something we can only figure out as we go along.
When is always and can never be more than right here and right
now (live for today).

How is only with His help, and how long depends mostly on us.

He explained to me that I am who and what I am
(don't try to be any more or any less) therefore I need to do
and be the best that I can at all times.

I get discouraged,
but I also have the ability to inspire and be inspired.

I become sad sometimes,
but I can also experience joy.

I can become angry,
but I have the heart to console.

I need to be forgiven sometimes (a lot)
but I can also forgive.

I feel helpless at times,
but can still lend a hand or ear to help others.

I am a teacher,
but I still have much to learn.

I get confused,
but deep down I know the answers are within my grasp.

It is the same grasp that boldly lifts my hands to Heaven,
and gently brings me to my knees.

Sometimes I feel lost,
but that is merely an illusion because it is not only enough for
my Father to know where I am and exactly what I am going
through,

He has every hair on my head numbered.

Life is a series of lessons to be learned.
That is the only way we can grow.

I wish I had all the answers, but sometimes I think (I know) the
only way for us to become stronger and grow into what He wants
us to be, is to walk through the fire.

So, whatever you're going through, hold your head up, guard your
heart, and put all your faith and trust in the only ONE who will
never fail you....... JESUS.......

Remember all the things you can be even when you are sometimes
those things you wish you weren't.

Wives are Subordinate to Husbands

You wives will submit to your husbands as you do to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of his body, the church; he gave his life to be her Savior. As the church submits to Christ, so you wives must submit to your husbands in everything. (Ephesians 5:22-24 NLT)

Rewards
========

I was having a bad time. I was having ever present opposite sex
problems. I was feeling down and depressed.

Usually at lunch time I would drive somewhere, park and eat or
just pick up something and go back to work.

I stopped for fast food and decided that I would take a drive
but not in my usual direction but the opposite way. I was
driving and beating myself up for being nice to people and never
getting it back in return. I had just made the resolve to never
be a nice girl. I would make every one pay. I then heard
something making a noise under my car. I continued to drive but
still the noise was there.

I finally stopped and found that something had fallen off the
bottom of the car. Blaming the day and thinking that I was in
no mood for this, I pulled out my cell phone but the battery was
dead. What next!!! I asked a neighbor to use the phone to call
a colleague from work to collect me as I was only minutes away.
He was not there and did not answer his cell either. I called
another friend who was an hour away. So all I could do was sit
and wait.

Barbados is a very hot country, so I put my air conditioner on
and rolled up all the windows and locked the doors. Five
minutes passed and I heard a knock on the door. I looked around
to see a man in the dirtiest of clothes looking in at me.
I thought, "Great, now on top of everything I’m going to be robbed
in broad daylight."

For some reason I opened the window. He asked me if he can look
at my car. He told me to pull off the road. I did because the
woman who gave me the phone call was watching so maybe he
wouldn’t try anything. I pulled off the road and this man went
flat on his stomach and under my car. He came out a few minutes
later, told me he was coming back, went to a house and got
something, went back under the car and then came out and told me
I could go.

I asked him if it will keep me until I get to a mechanic and he
said I didn’t need a mechanic because he fixed it. A screw was
ripped out and he put another one in its place all in five
minutes.

I shook his hand and thanked him (even though he didn’t want to
touch me because he was dirty).

I left there thinking that I would never let anyone "put my
light out." We look for rewards through the persons we are nice
to but very rarely do we get them back. It is complete strangers
who show us kindness. This is what makes this world so
fascinating.

The man was a mechanic and I had pulled up two doors away from
his shop. He didn’t have to help me, I did nothing for him. He
may probably never meet me again, but he changed my perspective
on life completely. He made my day have meaning, and I am
grateful for that.

As grumpy as I was, God sent me a blessing.

. Don’t stop being nice. Keep it up. You will reap great rewards.

God Wants to Kill Moses for not Circumcising His Son

On the journey, when Moses and his family had stopped for the night, the LORD confronted Moses and was about to kill him. But Zipporah, his wife, took a flint knife and circumcised her son. She threw the foreskin at Moses' feet and said, "What a blood-smeared bridegroom you are to me!" (When she called Moses a "blood-smeared bridegroom," she was referring to the circumcision.) After that, the LORD left him alone. (Exodus 4:24-26 NLT)

Consultant

Once upon a time there was a shepherd looking after his sheep
on the side of a deserted road. Suddenly a brand new Porsche
screeches to a halt. The driver, a man dressed in an Armani
suit, Cerutti shoes, Ray-Ban sunglasses, TAG-Heuer wrist-watch,
and a Pierre Cardin tie, gets out and asks the shepherd: "If I
can tell you how many sheep you have, will you give me one of
them?"

The shepherd looks at the young man, and then looks at the
large flock of grazing sheep and replies: "Okay."

The young man parks the car, connects his laptop to the mobile-
fax, enters a NASA weather satellite, uploads the exact
location data using his GPS, opens a database and 60 Excel
tables filled with logarithms and pivot tables, then prints out
a 150-page report on his high-tech mini-printer. He turns to
the shepherd and says, "You have exactly 1,586 sheep here."

The shepherd cheers, "That's correct, you can have your sheep."
The young man makes his pick and puts it in the back of his
Porsche.

The shepherd looks at him and asks: "If I guess your
profession, will you return my animal to me?"

The young man answers, "Yes, why not?"

The shepherd says, "You are a consultant."

"How did you know?" asks the young man.

"Very simple," answers the shepherd. "First, you came here
without being called. Second, you charged me a fee to tell me
something I already knew, and third, you don't understand
anything about my business... Now can I have my dog back?"
