Most times Malays are more steady than chinese regarding money matters.

If moneylending is not a lucrative biz, we won't have 300-400 licensed moneylenders today. Before the change in law which permitted whatever interest rate as long as both parties agree, only about 200 plus moneylenders. Almost doubled.

Spot on. More than 50% of the capable Malay officers will go into Intel and they hold senior ranks. Regionally we live in a sea of Malays and every able hand is needed. If you are good, nobody can hold you back. If you are at a similar level, race affinity comes into play. Years ago, you will not find a single malay or Indian teller in local banks.
