sdp's presence in the punggol BE could be a distraction and disruption to increase pap's chances of winning.
if sdp stands a chance in winning anything, they would have won at least one ward during the last GE.
it leaves only wp being the most branded opp to win some wards. the rest of the opps should set aside their ego even knowing that their chances of winning are slim. they should instead conglomerate and combine forces to aid WP and support it as the only opp that has the highest chance in winning this BE.
their presence in the BE would only upset opp votes and confuse the voters which in the end aid no opp parties except only advantage for the pap.
the opps collective should pool their resources and concentrate all their forces on only sending one opp representative to challenge the BE. perhaps, they could agree among themselves and select the strongest and most prospective candidate - u know like an "idol superstar" contest where one winner emerges among them. and that winner would be the one and only opp representative for this BE.
since the superstar candidate is the choosen one, all opps should then pool all their resources to back him/her up. by doing this way, the chances of winning punggol shall be very high.
