Why would the Israelis want to bomb the West Bank when the Fatah are not launching rockets? The Hamas are launching rockets to invite Israel to bomb them back so as to gain the sympathy of the Palestinians in the West Bank. They want to make Fatah look bad and incompetent. They want to overthrow Fatah and gain control of the West Bank as well.
