... have to endure massive traffic jams for 17 years:

1. widening of roads for the increase of vehicle population? Good revenue from COEs?

2. road works for flyovers and underground roads?

3. more road works for cabling and piping to support new infrastructures.

4. more road works for the new mrt lines?

5. increase in public transport buses excluding the 800 that have already be committed? The bus lanes will be like a mrt track where buses travel from bumper to bumper?

LHL blunder on increase population like LKY blunder on stop at 2 policy? Like father like son? No 20/20 foresight?

Will the 2030 PAP Govt.(if PAP is still in power then) silently curse and swear this current PAP Govt. for the mess it inherited?

You make it sound as though traffic jams will magically disappear after 'enduring' for 17 years and letting them follow through with the plans.

The congestion is going to get worse. In fact, more roads and more MRT lines will worsen the congestion.

More people = more congestion on the roads and everywhere else.

With growth in population, vehicles, construction projects ---> increase in pollution (read: PM2.5 will increase)
