Mentioned stay with nice landlords, they only renting out rooms. Totally legit.

They are beating the system by not declaring whole house for rent....I have visiting one unit for rental.

Whose care. All couple only allow 1 unit HDB. So to solve the problem. Just built more HDB flat.
Why blame those rent out. The gov are play TaiChi for their own poor planing. From 2003 to 2009 less than 20k unit is built. Actual unit is even less because some is to replace end block.
If yearly built 15k unit after leaa the and block the problem solve.

Is this the market rate? Even though given the locaiton, 1.2k for a HDB room seem a bit pricey

hdb is for own stay, not investment. hence they should ban all forms of rental on the hdb unit. cannot rent out room or unit. that shud solve most of the problems.

If cannot rent. Where are those living in rent room or unit going to stay?
Hotel?
If all FT stay in hotel/condo/landed property another problem will happen all citizen will sour grape.
Very funny. Each couple only allow to buy one unit what is the big deal? Actually is a win win for those want to find a room a place to stay and those want to get some income from rental. Is willing tenant willing landlord.
