I had no info what year that section came into existent. I was only given to know that section is a sub section of the british public security act in all british colonies.



In modern day singapore, those witness intimidation you're saying no longer exist, thus that section is no longer valid, it's high time it is repealed. Like I said before that section is open to abuse by the power and whoever wields it. You may choose not to agree but history had shown it has been abused before atleast politically. That was the bad part and tyranny of the british. We dont see them having such laws in their homeland, even when dealing with current situations like terrorism.

After a quarter of century and the destruction of numerous families, damages to homes ranging from vandalism, arson and criminal mischief (padlocking gates) threat to family members, innocent parties, the use of kids to carry out vandalism, corruption of police officers up to senior ranks and the ubiquitous presence of Ah Long in all nook and cranny, the govt has finally realised that it falls under organised secret society activity.

New laws will include
- fines ranging from $30K to $500K
- detention without trial (Sec 55 for the Ah Bengs, CLTP for the rest)
- Caning
- seizure of assets including property

Additional measures include
- inspection of bank accounts
- punishment for providing pre-paid SIM cards to accomplices
- punishment for threathening families of debtors
- enhanced punishment for using kids under 16
- immunity for those who testify against their accomplices
- power to examine tax records of the whole fucking family of Ah Long
- debtor to face charges including jail if false address is provided to Ah Long that causes innocent homeowners to be target of attacks.

Good luck to anyone who has been illegally loaning money or investing in a scheme without realising that it is for Ah Long Business.
