Mr Ram... the Cambodians got a big brother who also supplied them with these "Dong Feng" trucks.....

And these toys...

To thank big brother, the big brothr's flag is flown over the gifts....
I wonder which big brother this is....:biggrin::biggrin:

Without even looking at the photos just look at the name dong feng that i highlighted. Which country would name their trucks like that? Surely not japan. Korea is not likely too unless you don't really know much about east asians which shouldn't be the problem here.

Bro, as I always say, we are only good when not tested - Home Team ,SAF, Cabinet, Civil Service etc.

Once tested, the result has to be the mother of all embarassment.

Dont play play.... Singapore helped Indonesia in her little wars ....

"Mapnduma Hostage Rescue 8 January 1996. The mastermind for this case was the OPM (Papua Liberation Organization or Organisasi Papua Merdeka), led by Kelly Kwalik. He took a number of Western and Indonesian researchers in the Lorentz National Parc hostage. The OPM demanded that the Indonesian government would give independence to West Papua. At that time the Kopassus commander was Brigadier General Prabowo Subianto, an ex GSG 9 student, and son-in-law of President Suharto. For the safety of the hostages, Prabowo preferred a negotiation process rather than a military operation. Negotiations were first conducted by an American missionary and the bishop of Jayapura and then by the ICRC led by Henry Fournier, the ICRC head of mission for Indonesia. The negotiations broke down, and Prabowo had to resort to force. The mission involved 100 soldiers from Kopassus and 400 soldiers from the Navy, Kostrad, Kodam VIII Trikora, and Penerbad. The mission was a success. Two hostages, were killed by OPM guerillas. There were no casualties among other hostages and Kopassus and others army members. During this mission Prabowo also retrieved help from other countries, who sympathised with Indonesia, among other Singapore, which lent its UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) Mazlat Scout and Night Vision Goggles, and, possibly, Western mercenaries."

This crime has not been avenged. The Man who planned it is still around, and may even come back as a political leader. He was the devil to whom we lent our UAVs.....

Stories of Rapes of Chinese women in Jarkata 1998

– A student was abducted at a bus stop, taken to a swamp near the airport and raped by four men in a car. There was a green uniform in the car and she asked her abductors if they were police officers. “If you are police, you have to save me,” she told them, according to Ms. Ita. One of them answered: “No, I have to give you a lesson. You are a woman and you are beautiful and you are part of the Chinese.”

– In the midst of the riot, a group of men stopped a city bus and forced out all the non-Chinese women. “Then they chose the beautiful women among the Chinese and raped them inside the bus,” Sandiyawan said. “The victims of that incident are really depressed. They are in the hospital with their families. They are trying to hide themselves from the public.”

– A 10-year-old girl returning from school discovered that the shop-house where her family lived and worked had been burned. As she went in search of her parents, she was seized by two men and raped in front of her neighbors. One woman, a bank officer, told a local reporter that she was seized from the back of a motorcycle in the middle of the riot and thrown to the ground by a group of men. “She told me she was so hysterical and she was so panicked that she does not remember what happened,” the reporter said.”But she showed me a lot of bruises on her body, especially on her legs.”

– In an incident of public humiliation, a group of about 15 men entered a bank where 10 ethnic Chinese employees were taking refuge from the riot. The men locked the door, made the women take off their clothes and ordered them to dance. In a similar incident during a riot in the city of Medan on May 4, 20 female students at a teachers’ training college were stopped by police officers when they tried to flee the violence on their campus. The officers forced them to take off their clothes and perform calisthenics. In both cases, the women reported that they were fondled but not raped. In another incident of harassment during the riot in Jakarta, a number of ethnic Chinese women were reportedly stripped and made to swim in a pond.

– Ms. Ita told of an ethnic Chinese woman who hid in her house with her two younger sisters as the rioters approached. About 10 men came into the house and found the sisters on the third floor. They made the two younger women take off their clothes and told the older sister to stand in a corner, “because you are too old for us.” Meanwhile, arsonists entered the lower floors and set fire to the building. After they had raped her two sisters, the men said to her, ‘We are finished and we are satisfied and because you are too old and ugly we weren’t interested in you.’ So they took her two sisters and pushed them to the ground floor which was on fire, and they were killed When her mother heard the news, she had a heart attack and died,” Ms. Ita said. “So now this woman is in a psychiatric hospital. Sometimes she cries when she tells the story and sometimes she is normal again. That is one of the stories we have confirmed.”

That's why Singapore needs a strong army.......

The day SAF become strong is the day PAP and its minion go for a swim with the fish. Most of our soldiers have this "i hate singapore" mentality anyway.

Even if we cld build a strong SAF, how long can the SAF hold Singapore free from invasion if the mats united of Indo and bolehland decide to invade us?

Don't even think about relying on the fuccking piece of good for nothing shite UN to interfere. Basically they will just say NO coz the costs exceed the benefits, just like what they have been doing all this while. Singapore is just one very insignificant member in the general assembly and we have nothing in our land that the 5 most powerful nations in the UN desire.

No one will help us. The most UN would do is to put some kind of embargo on the invading nation, or send in their stupid peace keeping troop only when all the action is over

For such a fuck up country like Singapore, diplomacy is the best weapon.

Indonesian schoolgirls beheaded -1995

Three Indonesian girls beheaded
By Tim Johnston
BBC News, Jakarta

Three girls have been beheaded and another badly injured as they walked to a Christian school in Indonesia.

They were walking through a cocoa plantation near the city of Poso in central Sulawesi province when they were attacked.

This is an area that has a long history of religious violence between Muslims and Christians.

A government-brokered truce has only partially succeeded in reducing the number of incidents in recent years.

Police say the heads were found some distance from the bodies.

It is unclear what was behind the attack, but the girls attended a private Christian school and one of the heads was left outside a church leading to speculation that it might have had a religious motive.

Did Prabowo organise the Jakarta rapes of Chinese women in 1998?

400px-Prabowo_wapres.jpeg

from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prabowo_Subianto

Prabowo Subianto (born October 17, 1951) was an Indonesian career soldier and currently a businessman and a politician. Married to former President Suharto's daughter, 'Titiek', he was influential under the New Order administration.

The 1998 Revolution cut short his career, and he was accused of involvement in various "riots, plunderings, rapes and murders".[1] Similar accusations were made by various NGOs of his efforts to preserve Indonesian rule in East Timor. The controversial special forces unit Kopassus, which he commanded between 1995 and 1998, was implicated in these alleged crimes.

The Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) nominated Prabowo for the presidency in the run-up to the 2009 Indonesian presidential election, however he eventually agreed to run for the vice-presidency alongside presidential candidate Megawati Sukarnoputri.

Can anyone remember this in KL?

The May 13 Incident is a term for the Sino-Malay sectarian violences in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which began on May 13, 1969. The riots led to a declaration of a state of national emergency and suspension of Parliament by the Malaysian government, while the National Operations Council was established to temporarily govern the country between 1969 and 1971.

Officially, 196 people were killed between May 13 and July 31 as a result of the riots, although journalists and other observers have stated much higher figures. Other reports at the time suggest over 2,000 were killed by rioters, police and Malaysian Army rangers, mainly in Kuala Lumpur. Many of the dead were quickly buried in unmarked graves in the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital grounds by soldiers of Malaysian Engineers.

Viet kid with Chinese kid.....

In 1979, China attacked Vietnam after Vietnam attacked Cambodia. They entered Northern Vietnam and advanced quickly about 15-20 kilometers into Vietnam, with fighting mainly occurring in the provinces of Cao Bang, Lao Cai and Lang Son. Eight Chinese divisions joined the battle, and captured some of the northernmost cities in Vietnam, before claiming victory and withdrawing. A recent leak revealed that the PLA lost 6,954 killed and 14,800 wounded, and with 238 captured by the Viets in the course of the war.

Viet casualties remained unknown.

In 1979, before heading to the front lines of the Sino-Vietnamese War, two new recruits made an agreement: Whoever survives must bring the other’s bones back to China.

Because of this promise, Guo Yimin returned to the border region to search for the remains of his friend 30 years after the battle.......

Guo traveled to many places, interviewing those who could shed light on the whereabouts of the remains of his friend

After a long journey, Guo finally found a tombstone with the name of his friend at the border province......

But alas.... the tomb did not contain the body of his friend. His research led him to believe the body was still across the Viet border.... and the border was barely a few metres from where he stood....

sino-vietnamese-war-chinese-veteran-searches-for-comrades-remains-09-560x373.jpg

Guo could just collect some earth to hand over to the relatives of his friend.....

sino-vietnamese-war-chinese-veteran-searches-for-comrades-remains-08-560x373.jpg

30 years on, Guo meets a friend who found his elder brother's grave for the first time at a Cemetary for fallen Chinese troops of the Sino-Viet War.

I think there are similar stories on the Viet side......Viets and Chinese are brothers..... why the need to fight?

Based on population, Thailand to Cambodia is roughly about Malaysia to Singapore, about 6:1 to 7:1. However, can that translate into military certainty?

Dun worry, SDP say we elect them they will go friend friend with the neighbors so they won't invade us. This is what I think of their "great idea" :oIo::oIo:

Those moronic imbecile don't realize what a violent region we live in. Even if the present ruling government is a good friend of yours, it doesn't mean that it will not invade you tomorrow.

Events between Thailand and Cambodia have shown that internal events beyond the government's control can lead to attacks against another neighbor. Whether the SAF is a real tiger or a paper tiger matters little. What's important is the other guy thinks it's real
