COVID-19 is divine punishment for having insufficient BICYCLE paths today in the world.

Many people in the world suffer from chronic disease due to sedentary lifestyle, like T2 diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, obesity and thus easily succumb to any infectious disease.

Over reliance on motorised transportation also causes significant stress and air pollution and these two factors collaborate to damage people's immune system.

Already unfit people have to further rely on public transportation due to unfavourable cycling conditions, in part due to lack of bicycle lanes available, resulting in sardine conditions on public transportation and thus the increased transmission of infectious diseases, such as corona viruses.

Over reliance on public transportation means that people are constantly stressed because lack of money means a probable death sentence since a person cannot go anywhere without paying a fee/ fare. Many people living on shoe string budget, thus have to choose between reporting to work sick or dying of hunger, so the virus is able to spread easily in the public sphere unhindered. However, where cycling is easily accessible and the responsible mode of transportation, people may have more savings buffer due to savings on exorbitantly priced public transportation and because they have a sense of self reliance and responsibility towards others since everyone needs to control his bicycle and obey right of way rules (cyclist are much more orderly than pedestrians who don't keep left when walking in Singapore, whereas cyclist and e-scooter riders always keep left and can coordinate well not to collide with oncoming traffic by each keeping left in his travel direction).

Due to the fact that cycling is a physical activity, it is only natural for the unwell or feverish people to remain at home due to the inability to exert too much during his period of convalescence.

The air would be much cleaner and the surroundings much greener (and cooler) with fewer roads to absorb midday heat and thus make for a much more comfortable living environment which is important to achieve a healthy immune system so one doesn't easily die even if one is infected by the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Stress due to high costs of living and onerous taxes will also be reduced with fewer wide roads and excessive road networks due to significant reduction in flooding and the attendant mitigation or prevention costs since better landscape design with greater greenery and water retention landscape architecture can then be implemented to achieve reduction in rainwater outflow and convert the excess water into natural air conditioning effect by its support of greater tree growth and ground vegetation to keep the ambient air temperature cooling and comfortable.
