George learned his stuff during his apprenticeship in Taiwan. In Taiwan, every vendor gets his stuff from 开源 and 义美 and repackage the products as their own.

I think BreadTalk will get away with Bengawan Solo kuei lapi, but not YHS soya milk if netizens persist in their campaign against BreadTalk. It's one thing to repackage YHS preserved soya milk and sell them as BreadTalk preserved soya milk; it's quite another to repackage YHS preserved soya milk and sell them as BreadTalk Fresh Milk.

If BreadTalk is not punished, then I can buy bak gua from Bee Cheng Hiang, then repackage and sell them as venison.

BreadTalk treats its customers as gong kias, just like papigs do with the 60.1%.

they are quick to blame it on employees for mislabeling "fresh" on the wrong product. employees are their scapegoats, oops i mean scrapgoat.

If this was to happen in Taiwan, the Health Ministry will send a team down to every BreadTalk outlet to test the soya milk.

Our journalists are just being lazy. In Taiwan, journalists from all news media will gather at BreadTalk factory and shoot a video on the manufacturing process.

So far no one has gone to BreadTalk factory to see what kind of manufacturing process they have for fresh soya milk.

Since when is it a crime to repackage a product?

As long as there is no fraud or misrepresentation, it is perfectly legal.

Sure, it is normal who does not know that. But here in this case we are talking about, packaging the Soya milk as freshly made! & that is misrepresentation. In Singapore, as long as you are 'protected", you are "member", & you have "passion", it is a good business practice. Once again, if this Limited Company is run by any of the opposition party, CASE will spring them to the court & take legal action immediately; not just a warning.

Based on your definition of "misrepresentation", all MPs should be charged in court because they all claim "I'm here to serve YOU" when we all know perfectly well they are there to serve themselves and their masters.

Marketing the world over is about stretching the truth. "Freshly made" can be interpreted in many ways as there are dozens of processes that the product needs to go through.

For example, "freshly made" coffee involves nothing more than adding hot water. It does not mean that the beans had to be roasted and ground within the last hour. The coffee powder could be a year old.

they are done through private label agreements.

for example, luxottica dominates the luxury eyewear market and it designs and makes eyewear for almost all luxury brands via private label agreements.

Yes, Cherry QQ has another assembly line that produce BMW
