The brand new billion dollar sports hub is going to be undergoing a new set of construction works to fix the leaky dome roof

The problem surfaced during the Jay Chou Concert last month when rain started leaking through the multi-million dollar dome forcing concert goers to have to use umbrellas and raincoats indoors.

The works will see more rain deviators installed on the roof so that it can channel water more effectively.

It is expected that the works will be finished before March 11 when popular boyband One Direction is holding a concert there.

Sports Hub explained that the leaky roof problems which happened during the Jay Chou Concert were due to a “combination of factors”.

The problem is the latest in a string of issues which has plagued the billion dollar multi-purpose venue with many problems surfacing with the pitch.

For the grass problems, the Sports Hub has decided to just scrap the mutli-million dollar hybrid synthetic-natural grass and just “lay and play” a natural turf for the SEA Games held later this year.

Sports Hub explained that their main priority is to ensure that the venue is ready for the SEA Games.

Just remove the roof and that will allow the grass to grow.

CPIB should be investigating for possible corruption. So much money spent to produce a shoddy stadium.

LHL should look into this case directly. No need to wait for people to report to the new Corruption reporting centre.

these are all teething problems. eventually they will get the venue perfected, and sinkies will stop kpkb'ing and turn their attention to something else insignificant to complain about. this behavior does not require much complex code in the artificial intelligence or algorithm of being a sinkie whiner.

in the whole scheme of things, a few million here and there is chump change for a billion-dollar infrastructure.

Hello, it is my money and it is no chum change. Don't forget the cost overrun for the building of this stadium.

Ho Jinx lost a lot of chum change that adds to at least a hundred billions. We won't know the exact amount until a forensic audit is done after a WP government takes over.

All big projects around the world have their teething problems and their hiccups because they are being built to a brand new template. They aren't mass produced commodities.

All mega projects involve an element of trial and error because of the nature of such projects.

Singapore has never had a covered stadium of this size before and designs that worked perfectly overseas may not perform to expectations in Singapore because of conditions that are unique to the Island.

I am fully confident that when the minor bugs are ironed out, the stadium will bring immense joy and pride to the country and its people.
