Thai songs lovers...........is the ethaimusic website gone? not visited for a while now machiam closed down liao.......
more like not updated, since 2008, new songs hardly made it there. With the revolution of other music softwares - think many did not appreciate ethaimusic. I used to be original Thai artist CDs from their sister company, ethaicd

Bkk is not just about nightlife, rub downs. Also popular touristy destination for beaches etc (family friendly).

Got many glitzy malls and things to do than for sex tours

Try this for size:

Thank you so much.....

I was thinking of;
1) Safari World
2) Dream World
3) Tiger Temple
4) Samphran Elephant Garden & Zoo
5) Floating Market
6) Asiatique (Boat ride) n shopping
7) Chocoville (nice dinner and places to roam ard for the kids)

Any places I should tell them to give it a miss?

Really depends. Imho, malls a sure hit (humidity).

Not sure if kids keen on floating market, some distance away and doesn't quite look same as in pretty postcards and brochures. SOP stuff shd do fine: Palace, Wat Pho, Temple of Dawn (with river cruise stop overs). Chocoville looks nice (even for adults), but I've yet to hit it

More expose from Lonely Planet for kids

You are right. It's true even for 9th August. Chances of bumping onto Sinkies in MBK and Siam Paragon are much higher compared to local Thais.

Like any peak season, school hols included. Fares up, with pushy kids starting from gate. Good likelihood of bumping into your neighbour with you hand-in-hand with ...anybody else but your wifey, starting at brekkie. Not unless he's doing a cash and grab too:p

Funnies aside, Bkk's best in lull periods with rest of populace "up country" in festive periods.

Another slice of Thailand today.

Rice fiasco, what else is new?

And maverick Chuwit at it again

Theres alot more PRC now.

Whole farking bangkok is full of them.

If you happened to be at Khao San road (backpackers heaven), you will mistaken them as japanese. But once they speak, the cats are out of the bag. Some of the beautiful island like koh tao, koha phangan, koh Samui, you will see them around too. This phenomenon is becoming so prominent that one of these days, PRC will be flooding every corner of the world.

Oh , bkk is becoming cosmopolitan. Asoke area is like Turkey/dubai.
PRC are all over tourist belts. To avoid all these, just stay in quiet
corner in tranquil banok(kampong).

Communicate in English when you're there, once you break out in mandarin the shop keepers will think you're fucking PRC and see their face change immediately.

I get this feeling that they rather loose the business than to serve them.
