A party worse than RP

... is the SDA. Moving towards the end each time.

PKMS fights again in court. Supreme Council for years had more than 20 faces, now reduced to a mere 12 faces. Youth wing photos on website all gone.

Desmond's SJP left with 2 members - himself and the Malay candidate who is his employee in a sideline business. SDA Facebook is gone, on website CEC also became under construction. No press statement, no activities.

Like this RP got more hope. At least 4 regular cats and some noise.

I've always consider PAP as one of the worst party as they lack the human spirit and they are a bunch of self serving money suckers, surrounded by a bunch of ass kissers.

You take the hub of governance and salaries away from PAP and at least 1% (equivalent to 100 members) will still be left. SDA and RP can't even hold 10 members together.

Under Desmond Lim, SDA totally lost its relevance. Their rally speeches were of poor quality, their ideas of turning pasir ris punggol into a tourist hub was a joke. The 35% who voted SDA in pasir ris punggol were hardcore opp supporters, but these hardcore supporters will defect to a stronger opp party if there is one. Just like Punggol East, 4% from SDA SG, what a joke. Can predict another stronger opp party invading SDA's turf at Pasir Ris Punggol. Because Sda is so weak, a stronger opp party wont be put off going into a 3 cornered fight with such a weak party, as shown in Punggol East.

SDA is nothing without SPP and NSP. it is just a component of 2 dormant parties as SJP was revived by desmond lim who insists to contest under SDA banner while PKMS doesn't even send a candidate for last year's GE.

i think that fat fuck desmond lim should retire from politics. he is successful in his career but not in politics

Such parties are useless to the opposition cause. In fact when it comes to electoral horse trading, they are detrimental because they would be vying for seats that should go to more deserving parties that have much better chances of winning.

RP and SDA should be culled.

If I were a voter in Pasir Ris Ponggol or in West Coast, I would have voted for PAP. I am not joking.

It is far better to knock down these destructive opposition parties as swiftly and as hard as possible, so that the better ones like SDP, WP, NSP and SPP can take their place. Even if it means having the PAP a silver platter in these two wards, I am willing to do so, for the long term good of the opposition.

If we as voters continue to voting opposition just for the sake of being anti PAP, we will in fact be doing the entire opposition a terrible disfavour -- by giving unnecessary oxygen to the destructive parties like SDA and RP to survive. As voters, it is time for us to vote tactically and cull these two parties, so that these two parties cannot go on to sabotage the rest.

any party that is ill-disciplined or seen to be ill-disciplined is bad. so far recently i.e. before and during ge, only sdp and wp seem unaffected by mismanagement.

nsp, pap, rp, sda all had their lack of unity shown. nsp - nicole seah, pap - goh chok tong, lky, rp - everyone who bailed and caused the ship to sink faster, sda - cst's unilateralism. but pkms tops the league. fighting on the streets to see who takes the pkms real estate and spilling beans on each other abt contraband smokes. they are true champs on the worst party in terms of party management.

In terms of performance, results, and discipline, SDA stands out from all the rest as the worst opp party today. Unless there is a drastic change within SDA, i afraid Desmond and company will just fade away.

Party full of clowns like the PKMS should never be allowed to contest in a GE again.. They are a disgrace to the Opposition... They have done nothing to contribute to the Opposition's cause... RP, SF, DPP, PKMS, SJP... These joker parties should just close shop and let the big boys WP, SDP handle the PAP..

Actually, excluding Punggol East's lost deposit, SDA's only other GRC scored better than 2 out of 3 SPP constituencies, 2 out of 4 SDP, 3 out of 8 NSP (despite ex-leader's boast) and all/both RP GRCs. The SMC is considered no-count in statistics compilation due to it being a 3-corner fight.

Hence, SDA is considered average result based on Pasir Ris Punggol alone but was pulled down by the SMC results. But this could be due to outstanding goodwill of Chiam not drained out yet.

I was referring less to results, but more on membership growth. Both may not be intrinsically linked. SDP is one party which growth and results do not tie.

A party -- SDA -- devoid of effective leadership cannot stand. Not when there are many other up and coming parties that provide competition within the opposition space.

SDP will be a party to watch for 2016. 2011, they were starting off a low base. But I suspect that they will outperform again in 2016, in terms of percentage gains. May even win a GRC.
