My sincere condolences to her & all who love & cares for her, and may she gain a speedy recovery.
Riding a bicycle is NOT a crime in Singapore. There may be other TRAFFIC issues involve to ascertain who is in the right or wrong under our Rule of Law Nation. ULTIMATELY, a car is MORE powerful than a bicycle, & EACH driver MUST ensure care & concern for others using our roads.
It is already a LAW that ANYONE whom hits & injure a pedestrian, the blame lays upon the LACK OF RESPONISIBLITY BY DRIVER OF A VEHICLE. NO EXCUSES under the Rule of Law, as driver is IN CONTROL OF VEHICLE which is more powerful than a bicycle, & thus a RESPONSIBILITY to those whom have less power,- a bicycle or pedestrian, ESPECIALLY on usual speed limited roads than expressways.
Fortunately in Singapore, under elected legislators since Independence, motorists MUST have insurance coverage to drive a car.
May Mdm Choo go for the MAX, under our laws, to pursue for justice, as is her & her loved ones right, to survive, even if need to crowdfund for the best legal counsel, to fight her case for best financial assistances, as she is still young, with loved ones to care for, for life.
WE, SINGAPOREANS, WILL LEAVE NO INNOCENT BEHIND..... regardless if it was the motorist fault or the cyclist's....
