Tan Kin Lian has more calibre and working experiences as compared to PAP speaker Halimah Yacoob. If the latter can be shoved into Istana without people mandate, Tan Kin Lian is a real deal for all Singaporeans.

Actually everyone including the media's and even the candidates themselves already confused and misguided with the actual purpose of pe campaign.
Everyone already know about the limitations a president can have in sg. They cannot change policies even they can recommend to the gov.
So during the pre election tcss they should be giving clear examples of what they will do in the event of eg scenario 1 2 3 etc.
There is no point to keep going round and round and talking the same shit. This is not going to help with votes shifting .

I think I heard tkl mentioning in 2011 he said he will donate his salary. But for now he intend to use his salary to setup something like a fund to hire a group of people to reach out to sinkies and know more about their woes and work to address them . Or even having hospital concierge to offload sinkies taking their aged parents to hospital.
Whoever gets elected can't do anything other than cutting ribbons.
