Binance CEO Zhao Warns Bumpy Road Ahead in Message to His Staff

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...arns-bumpy-road-ahead-in-message-to-his-staff
tell you what. I just finished reading the insider article on binance.

The withdrawals are because enough people have figured out that Binance and it's CEO will be indicted. So people withdrawing like mad to get out of the thing before the shit hits the fan and everything gets frozen.

I give it a week or less before this actually happens. I've always been a bit early in my predictions, but hell, if I was holding it, I would dump and run.

@glockman, @CoffeeAhSoh, please be aware. I only know of u 2 got these holdings.

If crypto is supposed to be decentralized, then why the fuck do FTX and Binance exist as centralized middlemen ? Isn't their existence a direct slap to the crypto ethos?

methinks that when they say decentralized, they mean out of the hands of government. So basically instead of having your $$$ printed and controlled by gahmen, it could be printed by any old fuck with a barely interesting name and controlled by any fucking idiot who claims to be a guru.

It's basically an anti-centralized government thing. Not an anti-centralized thing.

Something that evades a lot of people including the anti-government types here and in other forums is why governments exist in the 1st place. They didn't spring up overnight because of some plot by the Rothschilds or the fact that people are sheep. And if they are operating correctly, they are likely to piss of quite a few people in the process.

I've seen various forms of government and studied a few and what I can tell you is this. A lot of twits have no fucking idea what they are asking for. And since you know tech stuff so well, I'm sure you can come up with an appropriate analogy. But this is exactly one of those cases where people have no idea what they are asking for. They are fed up with governments and their policies and their fiat money so fuck them, we're going to de-centralize from the gahmen. See how well that turned out? Socialism is another example as well. I can write pages and pages on this, but I hesitate to shove my thoughts onto other people unless directly asked as you did.

If you have thoughts, please share them first, but if you want my direct opinion, I will give it.

The scary thing people aren't weary of is that Binance and FTX are middlemen represented only by their apps. If they removed their apps from the store, you're basically fucked.

Crypto transactions in the beginning was just peer-to-peer I believe. I don't know when did people start entrusting their entire virtual wealth to a virtual app.

What is crypto being used for?
How is it being backed? Currency or equity? Can u used the value in your crypto buy tangible stuff?
If there is a bank run on your crypto exchange , is there anyone stabilising it? Is there anyone out there to guarantee the value of your crypto?

Thanks for the info. Yes, stocks and crypto are in the doghouse, lot of negative news back to back to back! Black swan event probably around the corner....or already here.

I am holding everything and riding this out, stored my crypto in a hardware wallet too.

My take on crypto is that it was designed for money-laundering in mind right from the beginning. Unfortunately my knowledge of tech doesn't extend to cryptology so I'll only opine on what I know.
The funny thing about these dumb crypto investors is that they don't want gahmen intervention when things go smoothly. But when shit the fans, they immediately demand the gahmen to intervene to protect their interests.

No lah, won't get fucked. There are 24 recovery words which you can key into the new wallet to restore everything. BUT......I don't know what's going to happen if the company dies and there are no more new wallets on sale!

For Traditional currency and saving of your excess funds, there's a back up for all the value in your money u save by bank, government , bonds and other financial institution.
For Crypto, even the exchange also can't gurantee the value of your investment.

Crypto was created for transactions in the shadows. First used on the dark web for all kinds of trafficking. You can’t buy and sell arms and child sex with fiat, which is serialised and traceable. All that talk about decentralisation is drivel used to hide its real purpose. Think about it, how does bit coin sustain its value? Fucking thing has no intrinsic worth, unlike precious metals. Crypto is just a ledger
