While the entire world is singing praises on the way Singapore’s government handle this crisis this Lim Tean traitor is criticizing without offering and better solutions. Pity Singaporeans for having such oppositions who only talk.

At this point, what LT is doing is counter productive not only to the situation but also his political capital.

At a point of national crisis no politician would want to hit the ruling party but be seen as being supportive and co-operative even if gov makes mistakes.

I would totally write LT off for he will likely fare badly for next GE.

How is he going to win when he doesn't have proper party structure, feet the steps of HDB flats,
let alone pound the miles and miles of corridors. The real issue is that PAP loves guys like him
to provide the three-corner fights and split the votes. But his ego is too big for him - every mother
and his dog in the Oppo camp wants to be "Secretary General"

Give Lim Tean a chance.

I know that even the people who scold PAP cocksuckers....many will slam opposition also.

Someone who is very anti pap cocksuckers doesnr necessarily mean they are opposition cocksuckers.

But if every sinkie who is anti PAP wont admit they are opposition cocksuckers then no wonder opposition never gets much votes lah

Right now, alot of oppos leaders and parties are one dimensional. The reason is that they do not have the resources and manpower to be more than that. Unlike in other countries where oppo parties are funded by law, you do not have this here. eg. Kenneth jeyaratnam is probably better then the best economist the PAP has, and he is leader of Reform Party. Lim Tean is good for manpower and employment matters. TCB is good on foreign policies and running a govt. In fact, because he is a medical doctor for many years, he would be good on health policy. Even GMS should be good for army and military matters since he was a regular in the SAF and actually served NS. If you look at all of them as a group, you will see a Minister of Health, a Minister of Trade and Industry, A Prime Minister, etc. As a group, they can run the country. As single individuals and parties, they cannot do it. But to say they are all useless is stupid.

Spoken like a true PAP cock sucker and balls licker. If you don't hit the PAP when they are screwing up like now, then when do you hit them? When we have 50,000 dead sinkies? Would that be a good time then?

That is an excellent idea!

You should suggest this to MINDEF and MOH.

I really like it.

It is an out of the box idea.

This will never be carried out by MINDEATH and MOH because its against their agendas. Reducing the military means reducing the number of scholarships they can give out to future PAP ministers. Building the equivalent of 2-3 hospital ships and funding their operations for free to the region is going against the ingrained money making hakka jew mentality. As you know, nothing is free in singapore.

Complain n complain..
Tell us, how would u have done better Lim Tean?
Our gahmen now are doing their best for the citizens n the citizens too must also play their part by following the rules!
Don't get me wrong, I'm no die hard pap supporter but I feel that @this point in time we should all be united supporting our gahmen to get rid of covid-19.
Lanjiao they are doing their best. Dormitories cramped with more than 10,000 and the manpower minister didn't do anything about and still has the cheek to talk about social distancing. They started off with the wrong advice don't wear a mask if you are not sick. Their best....my foot!

Lanjiao you want the opposition to help PAP what have you been smoking? Make them look good and win again and again? Cramped more than 10,000 in a dormitory is an exemplary worth praising?

I've said before, there's no stopping of this virus. Those "presumed" expats claimed that it'll die down in the summer months, but this theory is entirely nonsensical because in sunny Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, this virus is still spreading like no tomorrow. So, I don't know how those idiots will suggest such a claim? So, no matter how long the lock down will be, there will still be occurrences, especially once the lock down is lifted and how do these governments prevent imported cases thereafter? The only solution is for those pharmaceutical companies to come up quickly with a cure and a vaccine.

And this motherfucker Lim Tean is just another attention seeker during these times of trouble. Can he offer a better and practical solution? Definitely no because he's no saint.

I doubt very much if a vaccine will ever make it to market because the disease is so mild in the majority of the population.

Initial results from antibody testing show that up to 50% of the those tested so far already have antibodies. This would mean that the virus has actually already been in circulation long before the shutdowns and passed unnoticed because there was no measurable increase in the overall death rate.

Nah..this is nothing.

Pritam singh questioned the use of reserves at exactly the same time when the scums in white are giving sinkies free money, all the while keeping silent when he had the best part of 8-9 years to do so.

How do you think he'll fare in the coming election?

*PAP DOING A GREAT JOB ON COVID-19? *

Yes we can and should appreciate the efforts being made by the policy makers but should we not be critical as well?

While Singapore is seen as the gold standard in terms of how a country can manage the Covid-19 crisis, the reality is that TAIWAN is the true gold standard.

They are next to the epicenter of Wuhan, they have a population of around 24 million, yet have only 329 cases and 5 deaths as at 1 April.

Singapore is far far away, has only about a 6 million population but has had 1000 cases and 5 deaths as at 1 April.

It is clear the PAP has not done a good enough job and have made some fundamental mistakes that have made our getting a grip on the deadly and highly contagious Covid-19 Virus outbreak more difficult:

- failed to prevent Wuhan/Hubei and even China travellers from entering Singapore at the earliest opportunity from the outset of the outbreak.

- failed to build proper quarantine facilities on St. John’s Island or other isolated suitable location despite the lessons learnt from SARS years ago- unforgivably negligent.

- delivered wrong mask advisory and failed to maintain adequate stockpile of surgical masks for the population - despite the lessons learnt from SARS years ago- unforgivably negligent

- failed to cancel the Chingay Parade and other mass events promoting their political interests to score community points above the national well being despite the increasing infection rate of the virus - reckless

- failed to otherwise close schools despite the increasing infection rate of the virus - reckless

- failed to prevent second wave of infections and infact became complacent just prior to the second wave giving international press interviews touting Singapore’s success in dealing with Covid-19

- PM Lee Hsien Loong recklessly urged Singaporeans in early March when infections started to dwindle, to visit local attractions and "go about our lives as normally as possible" even though the virus outbreak was far from being contained - unforgivable.

- the PAP allowed 300,000 Malaysian potentially infected workers to come into Singapore and work without quarantine despite the Malaysian government's decision to close its borders and impose a lockdown due to how widespread the infection had be MIE there - reckless importation of the virus

- allowed an Indonesian who was already infected with the virus to enter Singapore to seek treatment and reported to have infected a 62-year old Singaporean and who knows who else - unforgivable.

- allowed foreigners from other countries, with work passes to enter the country until at least 23 March when restrictions were tightened to ban short-term visitors; many of whom were later confirmed to be infected with the Covid-19 - reckless.

- failed to tighten rules regarding public gatherings and only implemented stricter safe distancing measures from 20 March to 30 June 2020 suspending all events and gatherings with 250 or more participants and then 4 days later banned gatherings of more than 10 people outside work and school and shut bars, cinemas and other entertainment venues from 27 March until the end of April only to then suddenly order a partial lockdown, close schools from 8 April and most non essential work places from 7 April - too little too late

- allowed jam packed travel on MRT lines for the longest time until effects of the partial lockdown taking effect on 7 April reduce public transport needs

- failed to order work from home directives in good time delaying this essential measure to take effect only from 7 April months into the crisis.

These mistakes have made it even more difficult for the country to get a firm grip on the crisis. The case can and must be made that the People were betrayed by the PAP.

Infact according to the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) 324 page extensive report Global Health Security (GHS) Index dated 25 Oct 2019, Singapore was found to be unprepared and not fully ready for a major infectious disease outbreak and is, in fact, less ready than Malaysia and Thailand. Singapore was ranked 24th out of the 195 countries, after it received an index score of 58.7 out of a possible 100.

Why did the PAP Government not ramp up it’s preparations to ready us to tackle an infectious disease outbreak like Covid-19 right after SARS?

And now they want to hold a GE in the middle of the crisis to take advantage of the people’s fear to further their political interests.

This is definitely very wrong of the government. On the one hand, they are insisting on self-distancing and imposing fines for not doing so, yet, how are they going to properly administer those voters at the polling stations if an election were to be called during this period? If the 1m distancing will be strictly imposed, I can't imagine how long the queues will be and their spillovers on to the roads and under the hot sun. It's tantamount to giving a slap to their own face. LHL will be a real letdown if he were to go ahead to call for an election before this Covid-19 crisis is over.
