In my view the overriding policy above all others is the promise to cut corporate taxes because my own personal experience is that it does a world of good at many levels. It may not help the solo mothers and the deadbeats but the boost it will bring to the economy should be considerable.

I can tell you with all sincerity that if it were not for the low corporate and income taxes Singapore would have reverted to fishing village a long time ago.
It is the only policy that keeps Singapore going way past its "use by" date. Manufacturing packed up a long time ago because there is no way sinkieland could match the cost benefits of third world countries.

I support low taxes. They aren't a magic bullet but they set the tone for a thriving economy based upon rewarding hard work and punishing sloth.
