Means from drive taxi, to own taxi, to own several taxis rent out, to multinational taxi rental conglomerate in southeast asia. Oh wait, you cannot own your own taxi because it no meet NEA emissions standards. Wash your backside clean and be a wage slave for life lah! Hahaha
The taxi rental is calibrated as a percentage of a taxi driver's monthly income but passed off as a fixed rental which successfully fooled most sinkies. Under the current rental, the vast majority of taxi drivers would not be able to take home more than $3k a month, and that is only after driving the taxi around like crazy all day.
If cabbies can make more than $3.5k a month under current rental schems, the rental would be raised such that the cabbies pay would drop to around $3k a month. It's pretty much the same for shops who operate on a sales percentage rental scheme.
That's why I enjoy being a landlord in Singapore.
