Did that cause Fire's closure?

Don't know the real reason why Fire closed, but I do know that at the tail end, there were hardly anyone there. The whole dance floor could have 3 to 4 persons and they even had arcade machines on level 2, which was also empty. Probably poor business

probably archaic business model that didn't keep up with time and competition.

Will the pap go the way of Fire at the next GE because the pap didn't keep up with time and lags behind the APs?

I wonder if any aunty or uncle here can help us with Tivoli, Mondor or magnolia Milk Bar:smile:

Yes I've eaten at the Mondor & had a milk shakes at the Magnolia bars.

If I remember correctly there were 3 Magnolia bars. One next to the Arcade, one in the Capitol building & one next to Cold Sorage. Spent my time mostly in Orchard Road after Robinson at Raffles place was burn't down. In those days Orchard Road was a 2 way street & it had Pharmacies, indian shops, bicycle shops, photo studio, car show rooms,... It was for many down town.

I never went to Tivoli but to the stores next to it. Can't remember the shopping centre name, it is where the Paragon is standing today at the junction of Orchard & Bidford Road.
