Just curious, so how long did your mum have to wait to do the glaucoma operation? Can she go direct to the hospital and register for the operation or she has to go through the polyclinic like Spore system? In SG, for subsidized patient, have to first go to polyclinic and then have to wait for months or even half year to see the specialist and then have to wait again for months for whatever test or operation.

have to request, get referral, see specialist, etc . is quite a long wait, a good number of trips,. more than a few months.

I guess Catholics would hv had a problem attending Ash Wednesday Mass in JB.

THE LUXURY of 3 Roman Catholic churches within 5~8 min driving distance makes my mom hv a huge argument with me every Thursday.

She refuses to come to JB.

NOW WITH Lent and the Stations of the cross amongst others that my mom would like to attend, I'm having a huge problem.

Irrespective I still wanna stay in JB.

THE peace n serenity I hv here are better than hypertension drugs.

I understand you need a referral from the Polyclinic first ...at least that's what my mum did. She had been seeing the specialist on regular basis for monitoring over several yeara already and when her pressure began spiking late last year which eye drops could not bring down, the specialist recommended the op ASAP. In fact, he wanted to schedule it within a week or two or so but it was my mum who wanted to delay because she had planned a trip overseas and wanted to do the op on her return.

Ask bishop to build one near your place. Or rent one of the cinema hall.

i went in yesterday afternoon. although traffic was relatively light for a sunday (no jam coming in on m'sia side), sgp custom was jammed all the way. since friday incident, ICA has tightened up the tertiary clearance! now all the cars must go through two tiny lanes (after the boot check).

6AM in the 1st link and 2nd link is extremely normal. Nowadays sometimes when I go Malaysia at 5am, I saw long Qs all the way across causeway till Malaysia custom entering Singapore. Monday to Friday 5am jam is very normal now. 4am you should be at custom if you don't want to be in the jam. Lucky I am early bird. 3am I can wake up daily

The jams are seriously crazy now at both links :eek::eek:

I will clear some leave to go JB to pay my bills during weekday instead of waiting for weekends.

1 year later we shall see jam at 4am :p Those with kids schooling in Singapore should avoid staying in JB.

you not paying bills online?

Maybank and some local banks can pay most bills.

I feel more comfortable with paying over the counter, and getting my bill printed with payment info. Anyway I went to buy some food stuffs during lunch time today. Got to rush back though to settle other things even though I was on leave. I'm not sure if I have kenna speed camera along AYE. Hopefully not, it was the fault of the 2nd link slight jam.

This is fantastic and sounds like private sector standard, in Spore subsidised healthcare no such thing as see the specialist on regular basis, each time the doctor will be different depending on who is on duty and usually junior doctors only...
