So what? Lol, these dudes believed in the Bible saying the earth is flat. McDonald comes from the west too. Why don't you cite that?

There is no proof that western invention are motivated by Bible. There are many examples of harms to humanity motivated by Bible like black slavery and insquisition. Wake up!

Too bad for you the Bible does not teach a flat earth. And of course your bluff has been exposed. You said there are STILL Christians believing in a flat earth but you can't give names. Yes, harm has been done in the name of the Bible but are yoi sure it was due to the correct interpretation? And why did you conveniently leave out the good done that was motivated by the Bible? Cherry picking aren't you?

Legal Advice

Taylor was desperate for business, and was happy to be appointed
by the court to defend an indigent defendant.

The judge ordered Taylor, "You are to confer with the defendant
in the hallway, and give him the best legal advice you can."

After a time, Taylor re-entered the courtroom alone.

When the judge asked where the defendant had gone, Taylor
replied, "You asked me to give him good advice.

I found out that he was guilty, so I told him to split."

Where To Go

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You're on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...”

Bible Quote for March 15

The Fiery Furnace

The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom all who cause others to sin and all evildoers. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth. (Matthew 13:41-42 NAB)

David Kills Everything to Cover-up His Crimes

And David and his men went up, and made a raid up Geshurites, and the Girzites, and the Amalekites; for `nations' were the inhabitants of the land, who were old, as thou goest to Shur, even unto the land of Egy And David smote the land, and saved neither man n woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen the asses, and the camels, and the apparel; and he returned, and came to Achish. And Achish said, Again whom have ye made a raid to-day? And David said, A the South of Judah, and against the South of the Jerahmeelites, and against the South of the Kenites. David saved neither man nor woman alive, to bring t to Gath, saying, Lest they should tell of us, saying, So David, and so hath been his manner all the while he dwelt in the country of the Philistines. Hog Faith

It may sound like hopeful, crazy, grief consumed words from
someone who misses the love of her life and that she's gone
crazy. But, to me this is a real sign of my loved one who passed
and God's love for me.

On the way home from work, I drive though a beautiful rural farm
area that's very lush and green and has a very nice sized stream
that runs right along side of the road. I was as usual, missing
my beloved fiance Derrick, who passed last August. I was
listening to one of our many favorite gospel songs, singing
about holding on and not giving up and to have faith. Derrick
was a huge support to me as far as reminding me to keep faith in
God, that he didn't leave us this far in life, he wouldn't
abandon us now.

I was literally thinking about all this listening to the song,
when as I was driving beside the stream, a huge, and I mean not
normal size ground hog was sitting on the side of the road with
his fat butt (lol) in the road, eating some long strands of
vegetation. Groundhogs and other animals are very common but
normally they run as soon as they hear a car approach. This one
had other plans.

I was going the speed limit when I saw him about 100 feet away.
I slowed to give him a chance to see what direction he was going
to bolt in. This groundhog did NOT move, but continued to watch
me as I drove towards him. In fact as I got closer and closer it
felt as though HE WAS WATCHING ME.

I got as close as a few feet away in my car going like 3 miles
per hour and he still didn't move but just kept chomping away.

Seriously, it was as if he KNEW I was not going to hit him with
my car. I kept driving a little bit and actually had to go
AROUND HIM!

Then it hit me, if that groundhog had faith in me enough to know
I was not going to hit him with my car, a HUMAN, then why won't
I have faith that God will not let me go through life with
grief. I felt so at peace, and I felt just like I did when
Derrick would "talk me down" from one of my panic episodes.

I will leave your flesh on the mountains, and fill the valleys with your carcass. I will water the land with what flows from you, and the river beds shall be filled with your blood. When I snuff you ou I will cover the heavens, and all the stars will darken; (Ezekiel 32:5 7 NAB)

God's wrath on wickedness really offends the wicked and sinners!

Atheists are angry when they read such verses in the Bible. They say God is evil. But hang on, how does the atheist justify his anger? Based on what moral codes or standards? How does the atheist account for the existence of moral standards? Are such standards absolute or arbitrary? These are questions that force atheists into a corner with no way out.

Kill Brats

"From there Elisha went up to Bethel. While he was on his way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him. "Go up baldhead," they shouted, "go up baldhead!" The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two shebears came out of the woods and tore forty two of the children to pieces." (2 Kings 2:23-24 NAB)

THE MORALE CODES OF CULT BELIEVERS

If you buy a Hebrew slave, he is to serve for only six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom. If he was single when he became your slave and then married afterward, only he will go free in the seventh year. But if he was married before he became a slave, then his wife will be freed with him. If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master. But the slave may plainly declare, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children. I would rather not go free.' If he does this, his master must present him before God. Then his master must take him to the door and publicly pierce his ear with an awl. After that, the slave will belong to his master forever. (Exodus 21:2-6 NLT)

THE MORALE CODES OF CULT BELIEVERS

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

Jesus clearly approves of beating slaves even if they didn't know they were doing anything wrong.

The servant will be severely punished, for though he knew his duty, he refused to do it. "But people who are not aware that they are doing wrong will be punished only lightly. Much is required from those to whom much is given, and much more is required from those to whom much more is given." (Luke 12:47-48 NLT)

MORALE STANDARDS OF CULT BELIEVERS

When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property. (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)

Rape of Female Captives (Deuteronomy 21:10-14 NAB)

"When you go out to war against your enemies and the LORD, your God, delivers them into your hand, so that you take captives, if you see a comely woman among the captives and become so enamored of her that you wish to have her as wife, you may take her home to your house. But before she may live there, she must shave her head and pare her nails and lay aside her captive's garb. After she has mourned her father and mother for a full month, you may have relations with her, and you shall be her husband and she shall be your wife. However, if later on you lose your liking for her, you shall give her her freedom, if she wishes it; but you shall not sell her or enslave her, since she was married to you under compulsion."

The Torch is Passed

The Torch is passed.

Is there a magic cutoff period when offspring become accountable
for their own actions?

Is there a wonderful moment when parents can become detached
spectators in the lives of their children and shrug,
"It's their life," and feel nothing?

When I was in my twenties:
I stood in a hospital corridor waiting for doctors to put a few
stitches in my son's head. I asked, "When do you stop
worrying?" The nurse said, "When they get out of the accident
stage."

My mother just smiled faintly and said nothing.

When I was in my thirties:
I sat on a little chair in a classroom and heard how one of my
children talked incessantly, disrupted the class, and was headed
for a career making license plates. As if to read my mind,
a teacher said, "Don't worry, they all go through this stage and
then you can sit back, relax and enjoy them."

My mother just smiled faintly and said nothing.

When I was in my forties:
I spent a lifetime waiting for the phone to ring, the cars to
come home, the front door to open. A friend said, "They're
trying to find themselves. Don't worry in a few years, you can
stop worrying. They'll be adults."

My mother just smiled faintly and said nothing.

By the time I was 50:
I was sick & tired of being vulnerable. I was still worrying
over my children, but there was a new wrinkle--there was nothing
I could do about it.

My mother just smiled faintly and said nothing.

I continued to anguish over their failures, be tormented by
their frustrations and absorbed in their disappointments. My
friends said that when my kids got married I could stop worrying
and lead my own life. I wanted to believe that, but I was
haunted by my mother's wan smile and her occasional, "You look
pale. Are you all right? Call me the minute you get home.
Are you depressed about something?"

Can it be that parents are sentenced to a lifetime of worry?
Is concern for one another handed down like a torch to blaze the
trail of human frailties and the fears of the unknown?

Is concern a curse or is it a virtue that elevates us to the
highest form of life?

One of my children became quite irritable recently, saying to
me, "Where were you? I've been calling for 3 days, and no one
answered. I was worried."

I smiled a wide smile. The torch has been passed.
