I am lucky. Many years ago I bought a gift for my mom and she told me not to waste money on such commercial programs saying how I treat her day to day is more important than all the gifts, meals, flowers on that one stupid day. I love my mom for having that wisdom.

If every day is a celebration of your Mother, then everyday is Mother's Day. So, you'll have 365 days of Mother's Days in a year to celebrate, whereas others have only one day.

Bro, many countries (including ang moh countries) very very big and they live apart from their parents.
So, they probably see their parents once or twice a year. So must have Mother Day to celebrate.
For most of us, we meet our parents frequently, so no big deal.
