Went to look at that thread, there's only a problem with messing the quotes and that at most is an infraction, not a ban.
The criteria is really questionable, considering how much abusive language and gory pics there are flying about sometimes.
It's one thing making tongue-in-cheek or sarcastic, sardonical or satirical comments on the state of affairs and events.
Another thing entirely to replicate it and replay it out.
All your honest hard work to get the IT parts right which even caused you to post your first ever :o that I can recall.
Even if the IT parts are right and the basic premise of the forum is not, it'll all go to waste. What a tragedy/travesty.
I honestly don't know why the supermod is so harsh but I hired him to do the job and I can't undermine his actions or I might as well sack the guy.
His intention is not to silence but to tweak the behavior of members here so that the more serious discussions are not destroyed by inane banter. I know this is the coffee shop section but it is still rather irritating to find what started off as interesting discourse drift off on a tangent to nowhere.
I would simply use the infraction system the way I do it for messing up quotes or quoting huge chunks. However, each person has his own way of doing things. I'm sure erection2011 will regain his hard-on very soon.
