Tried an imported industrial grade pesticide this morning. The same grade used in commercial farms.

It's scary. Nothing living on threads plant survivie and the plants look great. Was wearing a pair of gloves but accidentally came into contact while removing the gloves. Fuck! Burns sia.

Good luck to those who like to choose nicer vegetables and fruits in supermarket /market.

Previously, I use much lighter version of pesticide. Knn, none beat this pesticide. 20 Gm of white powder mixed with 20 litre of water. Wtf? I don't Even hear cricket sound tonight.

Fuck! I got too excited and spray some on my chilli, lime and mint plant. Now no more organic chilli, lime and mint. Luckily my Basil on third floor. Now must go find new virgin organic lime, chilli and mints. Very sayang cos lime and mint almost 1 year liaoz and purely organic. Knn.

wah lou wasted...

For those who are planting small pots of plants, I suggest use vinegar solution. I use the cheapo white vinegar solution. Won't kill the pests but can contain it. If you have a big garden, then you have to go for chemical pesticides Co's vinegar too expensive for big garden. But take note, vinegar is acidic so not all plants/soil can take the acidity. You might need to get the professional to measure the Ph of the soil before deciding on the pesticides.

Some people don't believe in the value of organic foods. I think otherwise.
For example I am using organic eggs & I can see the difference in the color of the yolk which is a has darker orange than non-organic eggs.

Yeah, johnny. Like u mentioned, I used to bochap. But this morning experience really an eye opener. Instant results, Even the earthworm are not spared. Nothing survive except the plant. Wonder what if we eat the Veges and fruits that were cultivated with pesticides
Have tried growing plants organically. But no good results except Basils. I have ordered 200kg of organic soil and will try again when I have the correct set up. Previous experiment not successful.

some info on organic purchases:

You got to respect the farming profession because it is a difficult occupation. If there is more $ to be made you will have attract a more professional attitude.

I read that some farmers in Isaan who have adopted organic methods are getting more $ for their efforts. Which is a good thing for everyone. Didn't realise those chemicals are that bad. I'm juicing organic because I want to maximise the nutrients I get. After reading about your experiences with chemicals I have no regrets about going organic.

More consumers are starting to appreciate the value of organic produce. The organic eggs which I use are often sold out. I see more people reading food labels. At the health store I have to make a reservation for Kale because it is a very popular item:eek:

johnny, my understanding is organic products need to pass a lot of tests and different countries have different test specs. I believe all these tests and inspections by authorities are the main overheads. One of the main test is water. Think they take weekly test. Soil test I think monthly, Co's so many things to test, eg. Lead, and other contaminants. Also depending on the type of crop. Here I can get most organic stuff from foodland and big c. But very expensive. You are right this thing is getting popular else these place wont be selling organic products.
