Kindly do so before the end of 2012..as they shall be closed for good.;)
Sad that another piece of history that spanned 3 gens would be gone..
Always loved the relaxing & shady atmosphere there; where the pool's waters never ever smelled of any hint's of cholrine; so unlike those public pools you find in other estates.
Btw me wonder where are those Gays in super-tight & luminous briefs loitering around the waddling pool would be heading next ..Laksaboy, any comments ?...:D

It is one of those old design complex still around. The surrounding still have some Katong Beach nostalgia.

The KNNCCB pee-a-pee closed Yan Kit, close River Valley and now this. I guess Buona Vista next on the list too seeing those flats around there demolishing now.

These pools give me a sense of nostalgia and the chee-bye gahmen is taking every bit of it away.

is there such a swimming complex? You mean Katong Swimming? Where's the news of its closure?

Yan Kit swimming pool around Tanjong Pagar was a particular favorite of mine. Really sad that it fell into such disrepair and neglect.

so sad, i learnt my butterfly stroke from this swimming complex...

knn, every good old things must destroy..

It's not good to be overly attached to places in Sinkieland... they get torn down, enbloc'ed, redeveloped frequently.

You can find a lot of these suntanning guys at most public swimming pools. They may be very gay, or straight but very 'hiao', I dunno.

Quite near to Goodman Road's arts school.

It is Katong Swimming Complex near Tanjong Rhu.
Still can remember we, a group of childhood kakis
used to swim there afterwork and dinner.
Would go there around 8.pm for
an hour of swim. After that we did not bath inside the
changing room, we would bath naked outside at the far end
where there were few open shower available, covered by walls and trees.

Nowadays swimming pools are bigger and they have colorful slides for children.
