This is my favourite yakuza movie directed by the late Ridley Scott. Even my Jap fiend once commented it is one of the rare Hollywood movies which does not portray East Asians in the stereotypical manner.

My pick is 江湖情 and its lesser known sequell 英雄好汉....
Lesser known because latter was banned here.
All the major stars then were in the cast.....even Taiwanese veteran actor Ke Junxiong.....

Another worth mebtion is flaming brothers solely for the eternally handsome Alan Tang and Chow Yun Fatt partnership.

Last but not least 肝胆相照 I dun particularly like Andy Lau but he was superb in this one with sexy Carrie Ng.....the steamy love scenes reminds me of 9 and half weeks

yakuza- got one epic 1970 series.

Ending part differs from the original version. HXM very handsome. To me, Sun Li very appealing in the movie - sweet innocence.
