Youngsters,.. New Citizens Do NS nowsadays, ..many Don't speak Malay.

How do they really understand the National Anthem ?

Is out National Anthem, considered out-dated, obsolete ?

These days, children of new citizens and PRs very eager to do NS because many went on to apply for BTO with one of their parents.

worst still....the commands are all in m&d language.

Especially in these days of so called gender equality...why only restrict NS to male citizens ?

The cock and bull about explanation by Dr Female Chicken is laughable.

Morale is low in our military.
- NSFs get bullied by useless regulars who got their ranks because of conscription-system, not because they are more capable.
- NSmen, even officers get played by regulars who are ranked lower than them.
- 20% of their peers, the children of the PRs and new citizens also chu a lot of patterns. End up, shitty and dangerous roles assigned to locals.

Foreigners are thriving in Singapore’s education system while we groom ASEAN, India and PRC kids from as young as 13 and taking up placements in NUS, NTU and SMU with scholarships while their local peers have to work part-time to cope to raising expenses while schooling. Many more locals are forced to study in SUTD, SIT, UNiSIM or overseas in order to pursue the subject of their interest. It is the same story for teaching positions in universities whereby our universities made efforts to recruit (mostly less-inferior) teaching staff from China and India in the name of diversity.

Given such disparity, our universities are more interesting in promoting diversity over the development of true blue Singaporeans with fathers or grandfathers who served NS. Top universities in South Korea, Taiwan, Japan ignored the diversity criteria in global university rankings and focused to be revered learning centers for their local youth. While they are not highly ranked in global university rankings, each year, the leading universities in these countries churned out numerous graduates who went on to further their horizons with their local elite conglomerates.

Our open-door policy in recent years, sacrificed the competitiveness of our local youth and burdened them with NSmen obligations. No amount of skillsfuture credit can fix this sorry state of affairs.

Why would a PR non citizen be loyal and patriotic to a host country ?

PR status is only another form of visa issued to foreigners...if these PRs are so loyal, why not become full fledged citizens ?

sg core culture now means the new 6.9 c’s: ceca, ccp, con (artist), cheat, cheap, cut (queue), curse.

The paranoia of the need to arm and defend ourselves is really absurb. A regular professional army would be sufficient to meet this need.

malay is the national language that the majority don't speak.

Musically speaking, the Sinkie national anthem is trash. Zubir Said was a fraud, but I guess frauds and charlatans thrive in this corrupt urban shithole.

They even named a road after him. Sad! :roflmao:
