NYC is going to have a socialist mayor
Ten things that he will do:- Freeze rents in rent-stabilized apartments
- Raise corporate taxes from 7.25% to 11.5%
- Add a 2% tax on city residents earning over $1 million
- Fund universal childcare, free college, and free public transport
- Increase city minimum wage to $30 an hour by 2030
- Make buses and subways free
