Saw these poor students in purple every evening going home at about 10 plus looking dead tired. Really pity them man! Slog the whole day like slaves for nothing! Worked hard but fed with stuff which is inedible even for dogs! Studies affected and no time to spend with family members and friends. What the fark for? :oIo:

Not for nothing. I think Singapore has already won 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. What for waste your youth on your relatives and friends? Contribute to something more meaningful.

Maybe they should volunteer to be poodles when they are older.

When you are young you can probably take this kind of rubbish.. I was forced to be part of the NDP during my secondary school days, and wasted 1 and half years training for the event. I remember many burnt weekends and late nights.

But at 14 years old, it provided a good excuse to my parents to let me stay out late. Good reason to give teachers when homework was not done. Many times instead of rehearsing, we went on group dates at with girls from another school (also escapees from the NDP performance). Ahhhh.... those days of youth and innocence....

Older volunteers waste police and everybody's time. They just in it for grassroot boyscout points. Want be police, join young, learn some serious things for yourselves and do some serious things for the people.

However, not all can join at 18. SAF is 400,000 and SPF is only 10,000. Only the best would be selected to be police. Only the best of the best would be offered to sign on as regular.

There is nothing more fulfilling than the joy of labour and the dignity of hard work.

When it's done by others of course.

Only the best would be selected to be police. Only the best of the best would be offered to sign on as regular.

But everybody else is saying differently.
Only the obedient can be selected to be police.
And only the most obedient of the obedient will getting offer to signing on as regular. :)

Parliament make laws. Police make people obey laws. It's commomsense system. If people break laws, police investigate and arrest them. Otherwise, your mother, wife, daughters and sisters all in danger. You yourself, your father, brothers and sons would be very busy defending them and fighting with criminals like gangsters yourselves. You don't like the laws? Vote for someone else in Parliament next time. Nothing to do with police. If police themselves don't obey and enforce laws, then you worry, we all worry.

Today I taking bus @ 5.30pm.
At Suntec some students in YOG t-shirts are boarding the bus and sitting next to me.
I asking them going to YOG event?
They very happily replying going home!
How come can going back so early?
Because our parents wrote in to the principal so we can going home at 5.30pm.
Those students whose parents never writing in have to staying back and volunteering until 10.00pm. :(

Like dat also can ah?
