The YOG is THE PAPies way of showing Singaporeans how great they are in staging the event. It's the typical propaganda bullshit from the PAPies. The YOG has very little in terms of selling Singapore to the world.

true!!! i think ioc made a mistake by letting sinkapoor host it! if Moscow got it, it will really boost the profile of yog and i think more countries will give face to Russia than to sinkapoor. Russia is a strong country in olympic arena and they are really world class, it will lure more world class athletes to attend the yog compare to sg. u never know after sinkapoor first yog, will there be a sequel...

The only good thing from all of this is that the PAPies will no longer be allowed to host such an event again. They have shown how incompetent they are in even handling their budget, let alone setting aside arenas of international standing.

People don't see what's in YOG for them. People dont see what the PAP govt sees in YOG. That's why it is a fialure. The approach is the same as the one taken with the S'pore Pavilion.
