Yishun thief arrested
A MAN believed to be responsible for a break-in at Yishun was arrested on Wednesday. The 45-year-old is suspected to have broken into a flat at Yishun Street 21 at about 10am. The victim, a 40-year-old woman, reported two handphones worth about $600 missing from her unit. The handphones had been placed near the common corridor window and the suspect is believed to have stolen them by reaching in through the window.
A report was made and officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division began investigations. Their efforts paid off when they managed to establish the identity of the suspect, and he was arrested on Wednesday morning. The victim's handphones were subsequently recovered from the suspect's residence in Yishun. The suspect will be charged in Court on Friday.
