Netizens urged to stop spreading false info about student

GEORGE TOWN: The sister of a 21-year-old college student who fell to her death here pleaded with the public to stop sharing pictures and false information about the incident.

She made the plea on Facebook postings following the circulation of pictures and news on social media of P. Darshwini.

The victim had fallen from the 16th floor of an apartment block in Island Park on Thursday.

P. Thirptisonia urged netizens to stop spreading false news about her sister.

She wrote: “Please stop spreading rumours about my sister’s death. No sister wants to see her sister’s death pictures going here & there. Please stop it! Thank you.”

Gruesome photographs of the incident were widely circulated on social media such as WhatsApp.

Also shared was a video of a person falling from the roof of a high-rise which Thirptisonia said “had no**thing to do with my sister”.

Another post was by a person claiming to be Darshwini’s boyfriend of more than four years.

He said the social media postings had added to his grief.

Re: Yet another case of mudlanders spreading lies of others on internet - Dead or Ali

Those who spread lies about the dead student are like the mudlander dogs here who cannot tell the difference between acting with basic human decency and acting like a saint. Lol.

Looks like it's not every few months one case but every few days one case. Don't even need to look hard to prove with these signs of heaven that dropped from the sky.

When will mudlanders ever learn painful lessons for telling lies on others? Only when you cut their tongues! Hudud law please!
