Yanis Varoufakis - Capitalism will eat democracy

Finally, here's someone who's saying what the SDP has been saying all this time. In his TED Talk, former Greece Finance Minister, Yanis Varoufakis, explains why Lee Kuan Yew's idea of suppressing democracy while developing the country's economy is a bad idea. He says:

"Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew and his great imitators in Beijing have demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt that you can have a perfectly flourishing capitalism, spectacular growth while politics remains democracy free."

But he later concludes: "When you try to keep alive an economic system that architecturally cannot survive through political will and through authoritarianism, you may succeed in prolong it but when change happens it happens very abruptly and catastrophically."
 
China can make it but Singapore don't.

China has the massive human population, and size of the land, that even the British empire cant help themselves drugging the Chinese.

Until Greece population has the same size of China, then he can comment the Chinese system of governing 1 Billion people.
