Singapore Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Heng Swee Keat is standing aside as leader of the 4G team, citing age as a factor in his decision. Heng will remain as DPM and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies, and step down as Finance Minister.
With the successor to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong now out of the picture, the question of who will take over as the Republic’s next leader is now open.
