XINMIN Paper lied about Korean beaten up in nightclub

The six Korean men who were attacked outside Rendezvous Hotel last Friday had been behaving rowdily and causing trouble before the incident, employees of Club Password said.

The supervisor of the club, Mr Dennis Tan, 31, said it all started when the group of Korean men blocked the pathway and did not give way to customers who were trying to leave as the club was closing.

A regular deejay at the club, who wanted to be known only as Mr Low, 33, said the Korean men were behaving very aggressively and causing a nuisance.

The whole incident, which was recorded on CCTV, left some security staff with minor injuries.

One of the three Korean men who was in hospital had earlier told The New Paper that one of the performers had taken an interest in his friend.

Shin Min Daily News had also reported that the fight had started because a performer had hugged one of the Koreans.

Well, what do you expect? The Koreans have a reputation in Japan for being violent, quick-tempered and going on rampages for very small slights. They are given all sorts of racial slurs and made fun off because of this. Their reputations in Cambodia and Vietnam for violence against mail order brides is even worse. That the Korean expats lied about the incident while CCTV shows a complete opposite to their story just makes you want to vomit. Not only is it embarrassing for them, it is just despicable. Singporean press being so pro-FT is just ridiculous and makes you want to vomit blood.
