WP Yaw Shin Leong gives free bullets to PAP to shoot opposition again !!

It appears that Workers’ Party Organizing Secretary Yaw Shin Leong still hasn’t learnt his lesson from the furore he stirred last year when he proclaimed proudly on his blog that he voted for PAP MP Teo Ho Pin during the last elections whom he described as a “good MP.” His post was circulated around in the internet chatrooms and was subsequently picked up by the print media which as expected, add a spin to it to make the PAP look good.

This time round, Yaw has fired an early salvo of WP’s emerging clout as the “Big Brother” of the opposition by warning the Singapore Democratic Alliance led by respected veteran politician Chiam See Tong to stay off WP’s “turf.”

Yaw was writing in response to a TODAY article written by Loh Chee Kong in which he suggested that Mr Chiam may lead a team to contest in Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC in the next election.

Idiots got no priorities !

You should read what is exactly being said. You keep reading wayangparty and very soon you will even think that your wife is your father in law and your mother is your girlfriend.

Nobody till today knows who is behind the wayangparty. There is no name, just one bugger claiming to be part of an editorial team.

People remain anonymous and that alright but pretending to be open with a full team when there is none shows deception and an unknown agenda.

Many years ago, this guy stated that he witnessed an opposition candidate hurling hot water at an elderly man in a coffeeshop resulting in the guy being warded and the family suing the candidate. Of course it was fabrication.

It never stops.

He thrives on the fact that people tend to be believe things when a website is well organsied.

I think it is not the WP Yaw sabotaging the opposition. Yaw may be arrogrant and obnoxious, but the gist is WayangParty humming the tune to discredit opposition, which seems to be happening alot these days.

Is there any change of hearts in Wayang Party after they have been quoted by other nedia sources?

It appears that the Workers Party is quite reticent about voicing their disagreements on epaper.

If this is true, then this article by one of their senior members would indicate that quiet negotiations had fallen through.

But such is the state of opposition politics today - multi-party, independent ideologies, limited co-operation - so when such things happened, it is more to be accepted than censured

So there is nothing wrong in Mr Chiam wanting to stand in Sembawang GRC if he sees a window of opportunity

His declaration, so early in the game, will make the Sembawang GRC residents sit up and take notice that another political party is courting them.

It does not mean that the poll results will be PAP 66%, WP 17%, SPP 17%

It may mean PAP 33%, WP 33%, SPP 34%

Whatever the results, the Sembawang GRC residents will benefit.

Let the victors be those who truly want to serve the Sembawang GRC residents, be it the PAP, WP or SPP.

How hungry are they?

What Shin Leong didn't want is to see opposition parties, especially in which members of both parties have mutual respect and have interacted very friendly before to step on each other's toes by accident.

Of course, he very much means the fight for the central two GRCs in the very centre of Singapore- which is Bishan, AMK, Potong Pasir and Alinjuned, should avoid a three-way fight, in which the opposition will probably split the non-PAP voters.

There's nothing wrong with that. And as for the ruckus about Shin Leong's vote, its time to let it rest. People, all of us, would wish somehow or another that we can go back and not repeat mistakes- but we can't. So what's done is done, and all we have to do is not to repeat it, and then not to blame someone else. That's it. We don't gain anything by reviving it again and again and again.

Dear Kawoki

Actually any party can express an interest in any area at this moment in time. However the horse trading comes before a GE whereby the parties meet and agree to carve out electoral lines. No meeting, no horse trading and thus pretty much anyone can express an interest anywhere
