LTK probably spends more time thinking about succession than threat to his leadership. Chiam's sad disappearance from the scene after years of dedication is a lesson to be learnt. It is good that there are younger people than him from different age group like Sylvia, Pritam, etc. He has carried the party really well and through the short political history of Sinkieland, he is by far the only one who has brought opposition politics to where it is today. Many have forgotten the days where opposition politics were avoided like plague.

I would say Low's succession plan and development of next generation politicians is above PAP. Just look at the calibre of the next generation leaders LKY brought in - KeeChiu, Tan ChuanJin, TinPeiling, TeoJialat... tsk tsk tsk

I really want to ask ah if they say the WP is a racist party why in the hell would it have non chinese members? I mean racist in what sense? The vice chairman isn't a chinese and the party is a racist party? Why they forced the non chinese members to speak in chinese? The chinese members keep on making jokes on the non chinese members? Consider the fact that demographically the bulk of the population living in Hougang have been living there since it was a new town, since they first voted in the first PAP MP and they came mostly from the farmlands of Punggol; which was a huge supporter of PAP.

These people, many are from the 'baby boomers' era, have lived through the many milestone in SINgapore history, not HIS story. Why they voted against the PAP & voted in the WP?. The PAP must ask themselves that question. It is not upgrading, it is not transport services, it is not education services, it is not social services, it is not wet market. What is it?, that it will take to win over the hearts & mind of these people?, they have to ask themselves hard!. Why not?, "withdraw your bus service" man ( now in Moulmein) [another Poice Force scholar], or "chiku" Low ( sourgrapes Low)..it is...........go down to Hougang and find out!
