When I read about Sajeev's resignation from WP, I felt indignant that party did not appoint him a cadre. The simple logic is that the criteria for the selection for candidates must be more stringent than cadres .Also in the case of opposition candidates , they undertake some personal risks as they put their jobs on the line and risk law suits. Hence the party must recognise and appreciate them for their courage and contributions. In the case of Sajeev, during the elections he performed well and did not in any way embarrass the party. The same principles apply for my runniing mate in the East Coast GRC, Mohamad Fazli who also resigned for the same reason.

WP disunity started with Yaw Shin Leong, Low TK knows what happen but pretended. I was inside the meeting. His arrogant is too large now that turns him into a monster. He no longer has the quality of the old LTK who want to be voted to served and be the people voice. He is now a lost arrogant beast who wants more funding for his business. He has breach many rules during the campaigning & he uses parliament a platform to promote his business.

A former leader of the Workers Party Eric Tan has spoken out against the party for their refusal to recognize the contributions of members who have contested in the General Election.

Mr Eric Tan led a team to contest in East Coast GRC in the May election last year, garnering a respectable 45 percent of the votes. He was also instrumental in bringing ‘celebrity’ MP Chen Show Mao into the party.

Despite his tremendous contributions and years of experience, he was sidelined by the WP leadership who appointed a rookie in his team Gerald Giam for a NCMP seat instead of him, causing him to resign from the party in anger.

In a comment posted on Facebook, Mr Tan wrote he felt ‘indignant’ at the way the party treated ex-candidate Sajeev Kamalasanan who resigned last Sunday after he was not nominated for a party cadreship.

According to party insiders who spoke to us under the condition of anonymity, the WP leadership does not run on ‘consensus’ as publicly proclaimed and is dominated by the ‘Big Two’.

“It is very obvious that certain people are favored over the others. Dr Poh was with the party for a long time, but he was overlooked as a candidate to contest in Hougang,” he said.

this by-election is NOT about who's winning. it all about showing pap that many do not agree to them. if hougang lose to pap after so many years of defying them, the arrogance of the pap shall be aggravated.

we cannot always live in pap's shadow and let them play our lives like some kind of amusement for themselves.

when pap are voted in, they promised many things. they promise to MAKE THINGS VERY EXPENSIVE FOR US....so that NO ONE IS LEFT BEHIND. they promise pays would be better and life would be improved.

look around us now. do we see much betterment of our lives? definitely not.

MRT breakdowns. roads are still jammed pack. everything is still very expensive. there are many "hidden secrets" which the pap aren't telling us. like the sun xu's saga. how many of us know that our pappies are actually sponsoring FTs a such a obscene amount just to bring them in, give them education and all the necessities of comfort and even to standby a well-paying job for them just to for them to insult singaporeans?

personally i was shocked at the amount our country is wasting on those ungrateful ingrate. that's only 1. just how many and how much of our precious resources are wasted. when coming to subsidize our own school going kids, the pap seems to stinge.

No wonder Chen Show Mao is being treated like a calefare inside the Workers' Party.

Despite his breathtaking credentials and glittering qualifications, Chen remains a simple, ordinary member inside the CEC without holding any major or any minor position and responsiblity. Compared to those ikan-bilis CEC members who hold all the major position, this is an outrageous JOKE!!!

If Low Thia Khiang is so afraid that Chen might outshine him, why recruit him in the first place? If recruit him, why put him into deep coldstore?

I would not be surprised if during CEC Meeting, Low would order Chen to make coffee and serve as coffee-boy for everybody, just to show who is the boss....to make Chen become CHEN SHOW MOUSE!

Did Eric Tan said this? I thought he resigned soon after GE 2011 in May 2011? How cold he have been in the meeting on Yawgate?
