It was the greed of him wanting to conquer the whole of Asia that eventually lead to the downfall of Japan with 2 Atomic bombs, thus destroying its own people in the process before he relented to surrendering.
The Chinks should also be taught in a similar manner. Don't forget that they are now claiming that the WHOLE of the South China Sea is also theirs.

Don't think US and china will ever wage a war over a chain of 7 sq km uninhabited islands. Too much is at stake between the 2 nuclear powers.
US will only be happy to reap the benefits of 2 neighbors not getting along well but not to the extend of having an armed conflict and get drag in.
If there is one, I doubt very much US will want to get involve directly. Not in the sense of sending warships and fighter jets but offer intelligence to their ally at best.
