I have tried this product during IT Show 2014. It was absolutely awesome. I believe ROAR will propel Creative to its former glory days.

This segment of the market is already crowded with many other products from Bose, logitech, Jawbone, JBL, Sony, Klipsch,.....

I bought one during the I.T. show as well. There was a live demo whereby creative hooked up a number of roars and used that as a system for live singing performace. The sound was incredibly loud and clear with no distortion, people were shocked when the emcee said that the songs we heard just now wasn't coming from the huge speakers that you typically see at events, but instead was from a series of roar. I was impressed.

It's true that the market already crowded by many brands trying to get a piece of the pie, but i can safely say that not one product comes close in terms of sound quality in that size. I would vouch for Jawbone though, it at least sounds decent. Those looking for a wireless speaker can do no worse than giving the roar an audition.

i dunno why they dare calll it audiophile. all wireless minispeaker are known to be shit even among non-audiophile sane people.

even with virtual surround, you will need speakers that are place a metre apart to get realistic positional sound, and that's only if your auido source is recorded properly. either that or just use a decent pair of sony headphones.

It is of course marketing hype.

Audiophile spend hundreds to thousands of $ on just the cables. You can't expect similar sound quality with a wireless setup. The same problem exists for those who use a wireless connection to connect to the internet. There is some signal loss compared to using a wired connection.

[h=1]Creative's ZiiLabs sues Apple, Samsung for patent infringement[/h] SINGAPORE: A US subsidiary of Singapore's Creative Technology Ltd has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Samsung and Apple, alleging its technologies had been used in popular products such as the iPhone and Galaxy series of smartphones and tablets.

The lawsuit by Creative subsidiary ZiiLabs, which specialises in 3D graphics and media-rich application processors, involved 10 patents covering areas such as video stream data mixing for 3D graphic systems and yield enhancement of complex chips.

Besides the iPhone, various ranges of Apple's iPad, iMac and MacBook Pro are also covered in the lawsuit, Creative said in a filing to the stock market on Tuesday.

ZiiLabs is claiming past and future damages for patent infringement, and is seeking injunctions against Samsung and Apple.

Creative has tussled with Apple in the past. In 2006, a lawsuit brought by Creative was settled after Apple made a US$100 million payment to license a hierarchical user interface used in the Singapore company's Zen music players.

ZiiLabs' lawsuit was filed on March 10 in the Eastern District of Texas.

Announce first to generate the hype, let the various tech sites do their first impression reviews, then at the same time let the manufacturer and distribution channels coordinate towards a common date when the product hits retail.

serious. i think samsung got more liquid funds to buy creative loh. samsung still backed by worst-korea gahmen leh. even a rich corp like apple cannot fight with a gahmen.
